RJ Krohn, better known as the artist RJD2, has been making original electronic music for 15 years. He has a signature style, in which he layers together snippets of soulful melodies and hard-driving beats to create cinematic arrangements. (If you watch Mad Men, you've heard him do just that in his theme for the opening credits.

ILLectric River is a music and art gathering that offers an unforgettable and enriching experience featuring some of EDM’s biggest names and the art industry’s most creative. The ILLectric River experience is meant to be an all encompassing and immersive art and music experience that provides guests with a chance to see a variety of art installations, live art painting and electronic music from not just the Texas community, but nationwide. Unlike other festivals, ILLectric River offers a true canvas for artists to unleash their talents, in a location that is small enough to provide a sense of family and belonging, but expansive enough to allow our guests/family to walk a few hundred feet and change their environment, giving visitors an avenue to explore their perceptions of the world around us via music and art.

The Concourse Project

Handmade in 2004, Nectar Lounge is Seattle’s largest indoor/outdoor music venue. We are located in Fremont, the Center of the Universe, and we are fortunate to be surrounded by some of Seattle’s most iconic attractions. Our goal is to bring all genres to our stage and all sorts of people together in our space. We are a home-away-from-home and all are welcome here – to drink, dance and enjoy incredible music, the one language we all speak.

We are the only venue of our kind in Seattle, one that showcases artists not only from all genres, but from all corners of the world. We take a global approach to music and to our space to ensure that every sound is heard and everyone feels like they’ve found their “third place” in Seattle when they come to Nectar.

Our space features three full-service bars, an upstairs mezzanine with ample seating that overlooks our stage and main floor and a covered outdoor patio with stage views.

We bring national and local musicians spanning every genre to our stage, including artists that play world music, folk, bluegrass, Americana, funk, jam, hip-hop, electronic, DJ/dance and more.

The Mission Ballroom is a scalable, state-of-the art concert venue scheduled to open in summer 2019. The 60,000 square-foot ballroom anchors North Wynkoop, a new 14-acre mixed use project by Denver-developers Westfield Company, located at the north-end of the RiNo neighborhood.

The Mission Ballroom features a moving stage that provides flexible capacity from 2200 to 3950 guests, unrivaled sight lines via tiered rows, state-of-the-art sound and lights, and a large dance floor. Full-service bars conveniently placed around the venue maximize flow, efficiency and patron experience.

The Mission Ballroom is not only a premiere concert facility, but also serves as a unique special event space for corporate meetings and other functions, award shows, galas, weddings, receptions, launch parties, trade shows, private events, and more.

The Get Down is a 400-capacity music venue and event space conveniently located in the Southeast Industrial neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. The Get Down will feature state of the art sound and lighting in a newly remodeled space.

Now the nightclub August Hall (previously the well known Ruby Skye), the location originally built in the 1890s as a Victorian Playhouse by celebrated architect August Headman. At August Hall, patrons will find live music and entertainment with special events, three lively full bars, and superbly prepared food. The club is separated into three rooms. The distinct separations between the rooms create the Music Hall, with sprawling its 32-foot ceilings, 100 year old architecture, and new drapery outlining its historic stained glass windows, the Green Room which is a plush cocktail room serves as a luxe escape from the energy of The Music Hall, and the Fifth Arrow which A cocktail, dining and gaming parlor (complete with three bowling lanes) located downstairs from the August Hall lobby. The Fox Theatre has a long and rich history. The theatre that we know and love today opened it’s doors to the public on March 6, 1992, with a performance from The Meters. Started by a group of young men - James and Charles Hambleton, Dave MacKenzie, Jon O’Leary, Don Strasburg – and the sage-like Dicke Sidman, the Fox Theatre quickly grew from “the little club that could” into a touchstone of the music community. Fans, artists and industry vets alike recognize the Fox as offering one of the best customer and artist experiences. Publications such as Pollstar and Rolling Stone routinely rank the venue as one of the best clubs in the country.

The Gothic Theatre is a former movie theatre, the first in Denver to show “talkies,” turned music venue. Originally built in the 1920’s The Gothic Theatre’s grand art deco style provides an extraordinary and beautiful background. Though the front façade was altered in the 1940s to keep pace with modern tastes of the times, when renovated in 1998 the historic interior was kept as the venue was rebuilt from top to bottom and fitted to become a premier part of Colorado music. On June 23, 1999, when the very appropriate legends of New Orleans, The Rebirth Brass Band, took the stage, the glorious Gothic Theatre was back in the business of making memories. Since then the Gothic Theatre has hosted many distinguished shows. Local bands as well as nationally recognized bands continue to showcase their talent at the venue.

At a certain point if you trek through the dance scene of Texas long enough, you will hear tales of the legendary nightclub known as Kingdom. While a lot of the stories are exaggerations, there are a lot more that are true. The elusive nightclub has played host to plenty of mega name Djs, secret parties and after hours sets to make even the most jaded dance scenester take stock of who they know, and how connected they are. That’s why it should come as no surprise that most of the events at Kingdom now carry ticket requirements. While there are still the free dance shows, and surprise parties that don’t carry a cover, they are still subject to the laws of the club, and you can find yourself waiting in a crowd of people littered down the strangely urbane alleyway that Kingdom’s front door calls home.

As for the club itself, Kingdom definitely knows its market, and provides all the bells and whistles that the pretty, and elite should require for successful night of partying. Opulent dance floors, and booths all supplemented by a gracious staff that provides impeccable service and ambiance. Even more amazing is that the staff manages to maintain their friendly vibe, and on point service when the club transitions to its after hours offerings and basically becomes a speakeasy. Stay on your game, and you should have a blast at one of Austin’s premier clubs.

The Ogden Theatre originally hosted live performances such as weekly organ recitals, dances, lectures and vaudeville acts - most notably, the legendary Harry Houdini. By 1937 it had been converted to a movie theater that featured everything from the classics to the avant garde. In the 1980's it also featured the cult movie classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The Ogden Theatre was re-opened in 1993 featuring a wide variety of live performances. The theatre found its niche and has become Denver's premier concert venue featuring approximately 150 concerts per year. The Ogden Theatre is an official Denver landmark and a national historic landmark.

Six years later, developer Tom Gilmore acquired the property, using it as an occasional art and performance space for the monthly Thursday night Downtown Art Walk. Known for its sloped floor, proscenium archway and gothic-inspired ceiling, The Regent is a true relic and the last remaining historic movie theater on Downtown LA’s Main Street. Music promoter Mitchell Frank, along with Artist and Recreation, LLC, and Knitting Factory Entertainment Inc., took over the lease in 2012 and has restored the theatre to its former glory. Improvements include an update on all interiors, second story mezzanine for killer viewing as well as a pizzeria (Prufrock Pizzeria) and bar (The Love Song).

Streaked with Philly's rep for deeply felt soul music while maintaining a playful sense of adventurousness, Dame Fortune features guest vocalists Son Little (aka Aaron Livingston) and frequent collaborator Phonte, while also presenting the bombastic hip-hop sound that marked RJD2's breakthrough album, Deadringer, and even an orchestral composition for the societal unrest experienced in this day and age (called "PF Day One. "..the PF standing for "Post Ferguson").

"Living in Philly provided a context for a lot of soul music that I had liked," RJD2 says on the city's influence on Dame Fortune's sound. "I didn't have any cultural context for this music that I liked -- it was just music that I had stumbled across as a beat making nerd. Philly was a place where there were enough people who had the same musical vocabulary that I did, which made the music more than something I had just discovered on my own."

The debut single, "Peace of What," features Jordan Brown and draws inspiration from 1990s rap legends Main Source's 1991 single "Peace Is Not the Word to Play." "When I hear people talk of peace in America, the discrepancy between our words and our actions can get fatiguing," he says on the inspiration behind the song. "I was trying to reflect the experience of people I know, which often feels like 'We're not ACTUALLY trying to do anything about this problem in our country.'"

Thought-provoking and undeniably entertaining all at once, this latest exhibition of musical virtuosity is a crystal-clear reflection of RJD2's cinematic aspirations, reminding listeners that it's always rewarding to expect the unexpected. RJD2 will tour throughout 2016 in support of Dame Fortune and his 20-year-plus-career.
