The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual music festival held over two weekends in Indio, just east of Palm Springs. Music Midtown is a large music festival that was held in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, annually from 1994 to 2005, and—after a six-year hiatus—returned in 2011. During its original run, the festival ran for one weekend each year. The event drew in excess of 300,000 attendees per year during its peak years.

Music Midtown started as a two-day event with three stages. It later grew to a three-day event. During the years that the festival had a three-day run, the event had six main stages. Each of these stages were typically sponsored by a local Atlanta radio station and were used to present dozens of bands playing a wide variety of musical genres. Due to a decline in attendance and rising expenses after the 2005 Music Midtown, promoters placed the festival on hiatus in 2006. The hiatus ran through 2010. The festival returned as a one-day event in 2011 and then expanded to its current two-day format in 2012.

Big Night Live is a top tier luxury music hall unlike any other venue in Boston. We opened in October 2005.  This was my first foray into club ownership, after having booked other people’s rooms for the 8 years prior.  And even though it was in Colorado Springs, 100 miles from my home, I knew it was the right place.  I had a couple partners at the time, and it was good to have the help given the distance from home.  Time went on, and the partners moved onto other things leaving me as the sole owner.  This was ok, because by this point, I had a great staff there running the place.  The list of artists that have played the Black Sheep is as enormous as it is impressive.   This tiny 450 cap room has played host to the likes of everyone from Imagine Dragons to Daughtry, to Gwar, to Macklemore, and the list goes on and on.  The Sheep has always been a special place.  We just celebrated our 10th anniversary which unfortunately coincided with the untimely and tragic death of our longest tenured employee Chris Forsythe.  Chris was our sound man and head of production.  He was the heart of the Black Sheep and the place will never be the same without him.  But, as I said, the Sheep is a special place.  We have a great staff and our guests that come to the shows consider the Sheep their home.  This was clearly evident during the memorial for Chris.  I have never seen the Sheep so packed.  There were so many people in the venue they were spilling out into the parking lot.  This was not only a testament to the impact that Chris had on so many people, but the impact that the Black Sheep has had on the city of Colorado Springs.  The Black Sheep is an important thread in the fabric of Colorado Springs and we are proud to be able to do what we do there.  The Black Sheep has been voted “Best Live Music Venue” in Colorado Springs every year since we’ve been open.  I think we’re doing something right.  The Black Sheep is moving into a new chapter.  We have some big plans and we will be there for many years to come.  We look forward to creating more memories for all the fans that flock to the Sheep.

After over 50 years as a first run movie house, the El Rey was converted into a live music venue in 1994. Drake is making History. He's teamed up with Live Nation to launch a venue called History that will open in Toronto later this year.

The venue will have a capacity of 2,500 and will host around 200 shows and events per year. It's in the Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto's east end at 1663 Queen Street East. By Drake's arena-sized standards, this is a "smaller room."

He said in a statement, "Some of my most memorable shows were playing smaller rooms like History. I wanted to take those memories and what I learned to create an incredible experience for both the artists and the fans."

History has been in the works for more than three years. Construction is scheduled to wrap up later this summer. An announcement states, "History includes a convertible general admission area and reserved seating configurations for all types of events — from concerts, live entertainment and galas to community programs and events.

In November 2019, The University of Texas at Austin announced a $130M grant to support Texas Athletics from the Moody Foundation. The grant will help build the new 10,000-seat arena that will provide an intimate Texas Men’s and Women’s Basketball fan experience and feature student seating surrounding the court. The new $338M venue is designed to expand to 15,000 seats. Much like the Erwin Center, the Moody Center will be a prime location for university, campus, community and high school events and will provide a world-class stage for touring concerts and shows. The Ogden Theatre originally hosted live performances such as weekly organ recitals, dances, lectures and vaudeville acts - most notably, the legendary Harry Houdini. By 1937 it had been converted to a movie theater that featured everything from the classics to the avant garde. In the 1980's it also featured the cult movie classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The Ogden Theatre was re-opened in 1993 featuring a wide variety of live performances. The theatre found its niche and has become Denver's premier concert venue featuring approximately 150 concerts per year. The Ogden Theatre is an official Denver landmark and a national historic landmark.

Apolo is one of the oldest dance halls in Europe and a national and international reference music venue. Its origin dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and its transformation has always been linked to the transformation of Barcelona, building an important part of the DNA of the city and its people.

Located in the heart of the Paral·lel avenue, a nerve center of the cultural scene of the city and also a link between el Raval, el Poble Sec and Sant Antoni, Apolo was born as an amusement park. Since then, it has hosted a ballroom, a bingo, a professional skating club, a nightclub... until becoming the concert hall and nightclub that it is today.

Apolo is the preferred destination for the most diverse audiences, and every day of the week it hosts club sessions, concerts, cycles and other musical events in Barcelona. Heir to the club culture, it embraces all kind of music genres: rock, pop, indie, house, techno, disco, reggae, jungle, dub, dancehall, drum’n’bass, funk, reggaeton, trap, hip-hop among many other styles, the list is endless.

More than 13,000 groups and 7,000 DJ and producers have already come up on the stages of Sala Apolo, La (2) and La (3), representing both the most popular proposals and the newest emerging trends. International outstanding artists such as Coldplay, Tindersticks, Interpol, Kings of Leon, The Killers, The Fall, Iron & Wine, The Hives, Rufus Wainwright, Mark Almond, Superfurry Animals, Justice, Alboroise, Gregory Isaacs, The Wailers, Laurent Garnier, Ellen Allien, Dj Rush or Maceo Plex, y nacionales como La Pegatina, Txarango, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, La Mala Rodríguez, Green Valley, Rapsusklei or John Talabot.

In parallel, it is committed to new talent and the promotion of new projects through the LAB, a platform dedicated to ideas, learning, technology, activism and artistic expression, and its own annual band contest, Bala Perduda.

Recently, the venue has expanded its activity with the appearance of L'Estudi, a creation, production, and dissemination of audiovisual content space for any type of initiative, which also includes training in music production and music business (Aula Apolo), and has created the Apolo Symphonic Orchestra, a km 0 orchestral recording project.

In 2018, we celebrated the 75th anniversary of Apolo with special programming throughout the year, the premiere of the documentary La Juventud Baila, directed by Marc Crehuet, and the publication of the historical book 75 años sin parar de Bailar, written by Eva Espinet.

Rachel Agatha Keen (born on 24 October 1997), known professionally as Raye (stylised in all caps), is a British singer and songwriter from South London. Seemingly out of nowhere, RL Grime has risen the ranks to the forefront of what is undoubtedly the future of electronic music. His debut EP “Grapes”, which included remixes from Shlohmo, Salva, and LOL Boys was released in April 2012, and within a month he had the world begging for more. RL followed with the international club anthem “Trap On Acid”, and immediately garnered the support of Diplo,, A-Trak, Flosstradamus, 12th Planet, to name a few. Since he has released yet another global shaker: his bootleg “Mercy” remix collaboration with LA based producer Salva. The track had 120,000 views on Soundcloud in 2 days. RL Grime is reshaping electronic production. His melodically infused, Houston influenced flavor is connecting the roots of southern hip hop with the new age of electronic dance music and in turn dictating our understanding of what it means to be a 21st century producer.

Martin Garrix may not be a superhero or a secret agent, but he does possess two identities.

By day, he's like any other 17-year-old. He attends school, hangs out with his buddies, and causes just the right amount of mischief for his parents. However, when the sun goes down, he's behind the decks in front of packed hotspots and festivals across the globe, fraternizing with electronic dance music royalty, tirelessly producing in the studio, and dropping records. Not to mention, he's also gearing up for a massive North American tour and U.S. takeover looming on the horizon.  In the morning, everything reverts back to normal for the EDM impresario, but he's changing the genre in the process.

In 2004, Garrix experienced something of a revelation while watching TV at home in the Netherlands.

"I had never been interested in electronic music," he admits. "Then, I saw Tiësto playing the Olympics on television. I hadn't heard that music before. My Mom played classical piano, and my Dad and I played guitar. It was the first time I witnessed the beats, tempo, and vibe electronic music gives you. From that point, I was hooked. I started listening to trance, and I slowly moved to house. I instantly began saving up money for my first DJ setup."

That first setup allowed him to begin performing at parties for his parents' friends, weddings, and other local events. Simultaneously, he produced his own original music, honing his production skills and craft.

In 2010, Garrix hit the stage at a club in Amsterdam. Only 13-years-old at the time, he instantly sent the venue into a frenzy. Fast forward two years later, he posted an unofficial remix of Enrique Iglesias's "Tonight" that sent the blog-o-sphere ablaze. As buzz and enthusiasm grew, iconic dance label Spinnin' Records offered him his first deal. Sander van Doorn lent support through releasing "Error 404" on his label, and collaborations with Sidney Samson ["Torrent"] and Julian Jordan ["BFAM"] followed. Garrix went on to do official remixes for the likes of Christina Aguilera ["Your Body"] and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Vs. Sander van Doorn ["Project T"].

2013 saw him un-cage "Animals", his breakout international single for Spinnin' Records. Fusing a tribal bounce to a seductively dark refrain, the track charges ahead like a dance floor stampede. Upon release, it climbed to #1 on the Beatport Top Songs Chart and impressively held the spot for four weeks. As a result, Garrix became the youngest artist ever to seize the top spot. It reached #1 in the UK, Holland and Belgium as well as Top 5 in Australia, France, Spain, and Germany. With this monster hit, he received support from David Guetta, Tiësto, and Steve Aoki to Afrojack and Benny Benassi. In the aftermath, the track saw release in the U.S. via Casablanca Records. The single had solidified him as a bona fide record-breaking phenomenon.

"I've had that melody since I was 12," he smiles. "It stuck in my head, and I wanted to do something with it for so long. The drop is very different. It feels like you're in the jungle. It's just a blast of energy."

Following up the success of "Animals", his remix of "Project T" and his collaboration with Jay Hardway ‘Wizard’ ascended #1 on Beatport as well.

As he rises through the ranks of EDM, he's also still finding time to enjoy growing up and keeping up with his friends. "It's so weird," Garrix laughs. "They join me on the road very often, and we have fun. They're pretty excited!"

They're not the only ones who are excited though. Fans everywhere have gotten wild with Garrix and "Animals".

He goes on, "The most amazing thing is hearing how many people get inspired by my music and story. I want to show everyone that if you pursue your dreams, they can come true no matter what. That's what I want to do."

2014 has a lot in store for Garrix. His collaboration with Firebeatz on ‘Helicopter’ already got to #1 in Beatport. His USA tour was highly successful and he is heading for Australia as we speak. Garrix will be at the biggest events during Miami Music Week and is already confirmed for lots of other huge festivals this year.

Tame Impala is an Australian psychedelic music project led by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, who writes, records, performs, and produces the music. As a touring act, Parker (guitar, vocals) plays alongside Dominic Simper (guitar, synthesiser) and some members of Australian psychedelic rock band Pond – Jay Watson (synthesiser, vocals, guitar), Cam Avery (bass guitar, vocals), and Julien Barbagallo (drums, vocals). Parker originally conceived the project in Perth in 2007.
