Holiday Hootenanny is for the people who make this city fun, and who somehow end up at the same show anyway. It started with a simple idea from Resound Presents and longtime Austin concert photographer and Todo Records partner Pooneh Ghana: get every corner of Austin's independent music scene in the same room before the calendar resets. Combine a diverse and eclectic lineup, a holiday market for your last-minute gifts, festive cocktails, a mechanical reindeer that somehow gets ridden way more than it should, familiar faces around every corner, and enough beautiful weirdness to send the year off properly - and you have one sweet celebration of the season. This year, Resound, Pooneh, ILLfest, and KUTX are teaming up for our biggest holiday hang yet, returning to RADIO/EAST for two nights on Friday, December 11th and Saturday, December 12th with Thundercat, Magdalena Bay, Frost Children, Coco & Clair Clair, 54 Ultra, The Two Lips, Drugdealer, Sports and plenty more providing the soundtrack to our winter wonderland.
