Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock band formed in Santa Barbara, California, in 1986. The band at the time consisted of vocalist/guitarist Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss, who stopped touring in 2017 and left the band in 2020. Guss was replaced by drummer Josh Daubin, who had been supporting them as their drummer on recent tours. They had chart success in the 1990s with singles that included "Walk on the Ocean", "All I Want", "Something's Always Wrong", "Fall Down", and "Good Intentions". The band broke up in 1998 to pursue other projects; however, they began touring the United States again in 2006 for short-run tours each summer in small venues. In December 2010, the band announced their official reunion as a full-time working band and started writing songs for their first studio album of new material since their 1997 Columbia Records release, Coil. Their most recent full-length album, Starting Now, was released on August 27, 2021.

The inaugural Oceans Calling Festival has unveiled the 2022 lineup, bringing powerhouse headliners Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds (Friday), The Lumineers (Saturday), and Alanis Morissette (Sunday) to the southern end of the iconic Ocean City, Maryland Boardwalk at Ocean City Inlet Beach on September 30-October 2. Fans will enjoy three stages and performances from over 30 bands, including Cage The Elephant, Cyndi Lauper, and multiple sets from co-founders and local heroes O.A.R in a historic setting. Oceans Calling will also bring a culinary experience hosted by world-renowned chefs Andrew Zimmern, Robert Irvine and Amanda Freitag with a stage dedicated to cooking demos that celebrate the eastern shore. In addition, The Jolly Roger at the Pier amusement park, located inside the festival grounds, will be fully operational during the festival for a unique experience unlike any other festival of its kind.

The Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, which was also known as the Capitol Theatre and the Royalty Theatre, is a historic theater in Clearwater, Florida. The theater has a seating capacity of 750 people. The theater is owned by the City of Clearwater and managed by Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Originally named the Durham Auditorium, the venue was renovated three years later and renamed the Carolina Theatre, a movie theater that also presented stage shows and concerts.

By the 1940s and 1950s, the city-owned Carolina Theatre had become Durham’s most majestic showplace for film and the performing arts, with live shows featuring such noteworthy stars as Ronald Reagan, Katharine Hepburn and many other celebrities of the day.

In March 1978, after economic conditions had forced the closure and a proposed demolition of the Carolina Theatre the year before, the City of Durham leased the venue to the Carolina Cinema Corporation with Dr. Monte Moses as president. Through the late 1970s and the 1980s, Connie Moses, the wife of Monte, and her close friend Pepper Fluke organized a legion of volunteers and spearheaded a successful effort to save, preserve and renovate the Carolina Theatre.

After screening the world premiere of Durham-based baseball film Bull Durham in June of 1988, the Carolina Theatre closed again for extensive renovations, reopening with a new cinema wing in 1994, two years after the Carolina Cinema Corporation became Carolina Theatre of Durham, Inc. — the nonprofit organization which is still operating the venue today.

Strengthened from weathering more than nine decades of social, political and economic change, the Carolina Theatre continues to be a source of civic pride; an important marker of historic change; a valuable touchstone for the community; a crucial resource for education through the arts, and a beacon attracting visitors to its city’s vibrant downtown.

Infinity Music Hall has pristine acoustics and a world-class sound system! The music hall has two levels: the Orchestra Level seats 400 in traditional theater style and the Mezzanine Level seats about 100, for a total of 500 seats. 

The seats on the Orchestra Level can be removed, permitting stand-up shows or a reception space for 650. This level can be arranged for cabaret seating during jazz shows and private events.

As in Norfolk, the “Good Vibes Bar” is located on the Orchestra Level for patron access before and during shows. The mezzanine level features cabaret-style seating and beverage service.

The Keswick Theatre first opened its doors on Christmas Night, 1928. Nationally recognized as the most comfortable, acoustically perfect listening room in the entire Philadelphia market, the Keswick was designed by acclaimed architect Horace Trumbauer (who also created the Philadelphia Museum of Art). The Keswick was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, but the non-profit group wasn’t to meet expenses, and closed the theater in December 1985.

The Keswick opened its doors again in March 1988, under private ownership. During that 15-year ownership, the Keswick blossomed in reputation and renovation. Establishment of a restoration fund allowed for more than a million dollars in upgrades. The Keswick grew technologically, as well, with state-of-the-art sound and light equipment and a computerized ticketing system. The growth was recognized as the Keswick joined legendary venues like The Chicago Theatre, Beacon Theatre and Fox Theatre in “Pollstar’s Top 50 Theater Venues.” The Keswick became one of the Central Atlantic states’ most active and diversified venues, presenting internationally-acclaimed performers geared to virtually every taste and interest.

One of Fort Lauderdale’s first venues, the neo-classical Playhouse, was built by Dr. Louis Parker and is managed now by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Revolution Hall is a state-of-the-art concert venue which sits at the heart of Washington High School. Founded in 1906 as Eastside High, the school was renamed in 1909 and moved to the iconic brick landmark – where it stands today. The existing building was rebuilt in 1924 after a fire destroyed the majority of the original building. The school boasts many notable alumni such as food-enthusiast / chef / author James Beard and the twice-decorated Nobel Laureate, Linus Pauling.

The school was closed in 1981 due to low enrollment. The facility was occasionally used for various purposes but remained predominantly vacant over the years. Since its purchase in 2013, the 113,000+ square foot building has been completely renovated and restored to accommodate offices, The Assembly Lounge and Marthas – our pre and post show bar and cafe, a smaller venue – Show Bar (which serves our sister venue’s famous Bar Bar Burger’) + the historic auditorium. Topping off Revolution Hall (literally) is our Roof Deck Terrace, open weather permitting April thru October, offers the best 360 degree views of Portland bar-none for show goers to enjoy before, during, or after a show.

Originally owned by Detroit area businessman and film house entrepreneur John H. Kunsky, the “Kunsky Royal Oak”, as it was known then, opened to a sold out audience in 1928. Lavishly decorated and superbly appointed, the art-deco movie palace quickly made its mark as one of Detroit's finest suburban theatres. In 1978, programming moved toward hosting live entertainment and the venue became known as the Royal Oak Music Theatre.

In 2004, Worldwide Entertainment rescued the theatre from relative obscurity and in 2007, after merging with the promotional giant AEG Presents, the Royal Oak Music Theatre became the Detroit area’s preeminent club-style, concert venue- attracting world-class musicians and performers such as: The Black Keys, Lady Gaga, Wilco, Eric Church, Ray LaMontagne, Fleet Foxes, The Decemberists, Aziz Ansari, Wiz Khalifa, The Pogues, Adele, Amy Schumer, Elvis Costello, Skrillex, Morrissey, Passion Pit, Louis CK, Sarah Silverman, Neutral Milk Hotel, Alabama Shakes, Alt-J, Zedd, A Day To Remember, Bastille and many more.

The Taft Theatre is a 2,500-seat theater, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The theatre was built in 1928, as evidenced by its Art Deco interior. All seats are unobstructed, giving every seat a clear view of the stage. It is part of the Masonic Temple Building at Fifth and Sycamore streets.

The Wilbur Theatre was built in 1914 by the Shubert brothers who named it for their friend and theatre manager A.L. Wilbur. It was built on the site of the former Winthrop School for Girls. The Wilbur was the first Boston theatre to draw its inspiration from American Colonial architecture rather than from European sources. It was designed by architect Clarence H. Blackall. To ensure authenticity, the porticos on the front of the theatre were copied directly from the 1837 Thomas Bailey Midrich House at 59 Mt. Vernon Street on Beacon Hill. This Federal Revival style is characterized by a quiet simplicity and intimate, almost home-like atmosphere. Architectural historian Douglas Tucci said of the Wilbur, “The auditorium is in its chaste way the handsomest of any Boston playhouse.”
