Annually curating an eclectic lineup anchored in music you can groove to, SSBD is not your standard dance music festival. Instead, you'll hear artists who blend everything from bass music to funk and reggae to acoustic together to create something fresh.

Launched in 2012, Echostage is DC’s largest nightlife concert venue. The Coca-Cola Roxy, Atlanta's brand new concert venue, opened in April of 2017. The 3,600 capacity venue is located in The Battery Atlanta, a mixed-use development next to SunTrust Park, home of The Atlanta Braves. It is conveniently located near the intersection of interstates 75 and 285.

The new two-tiered intimate venue has a flexible configuration including a general admission floor, theatre-style seating and permanent seating in the balcony. Both levels are ADA wheelchair accessible. The 53,000 square foot site has state of the art sound, lights and production capabilities for live music, corporate meetings and private events. The Coca-Cola Roxy hosts approximately 40 shows per year and presents a diverse range of local, national and international artists and bands.

The Warfield is a 2250-person venue and has been a San Francisco institution for 86 years. Opened on May 13, 1922, it was built by showman and theatre chain owner Marcus Loew, who named the showplace after his old friend David Warfield, a native San Franciscan who began as an usher and grew to be one of the greatest silent film actors of his time. The Warfield was originally built as a vaudeville and movie palace and became a concert hall in 1979 when Bill Graham Presents booked a two-week run of shows with Bob Dylan. The esteemed hall has been rocking ever since.

Now operated by Goldenvoice, the venue is keeping with its illustrious past. Everyone has played The Warfield. Today, the entertainment has continued to range from artists such as Bob Dylan, Faith No More, Prince, The Killers, Kings of Leon to Adele, as well as played host to charitable fundraisers for organizations such as GLIDE Memorial Church and Tipping Point.

If you visited the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana a couple years ago, you would’ve been met by cover bands, one-hit wonders or closed doors. It had its moments, of course, but those moments were rare thanks to a lengthy closure and lackluster booking. Enter Jon Reiser, former partner and booker for Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa. Reiser purchased the venue and made several significant changes: booked popular acts, upgraded the sound system, added a smaller venue-in-a-venue called the Constellation Room. The Observatory now hosts popular acts such as Method Man , GWAR, Tiesto, Waka Flocka Flame and many, many more. That also includes residencies from local acts. Selling out shows is now a habit for this place. Most of all, it provides a valuable service to the whole county by bringing in acts we could usually only see by driving to Los Angeles. Oh, and it even—gasp!—makes Angelenos cross the Orange Curtain for a show.

The Bomb Factory and its neighboring venue Canton Hall have been rebranded as The Factory in Deep Ellum and The Studio at the Factory, according to new websites and social media accounts for the new venue.

The phone number and email address for The Bomb Factory have also been delisted, indicating the change for the historic venue is already underway.

Those who know Webster Hall solely as the roomy host to ascendant indie-acts and faded legends alike will be surprised to hear that the faux-marble labyrinth often doubles as a real-life night club featuring cover-charged theme parties and big-name DJ sets. The four-story, 40,000 square foot space includes a main stage, lined with balcony space on either end, as well as a few amenities and extras: an underground coat check, a large back-area bar (plus a few rarely-trafficked side bars,) bathroom attendants, the 600-capacity Marlin Room, and the Studio at Webster Hall, a smaller venue-within-a-venue with an intimate atmosphere. Attendees are usually too entranced by the spinning stage lights and gothic chandeliers to notice the multi-culti hieroglyphic hode-podge lining the venue’s wall; the upstairs unisex bathroom – complete with checkered, hop-style design and blackboard walls and chalk sticks on string to encourage scrawled musings from stall occupants – is harder to ignore. Most importantly, the house sound system’s crisp low end refuses to be ignored, probably thanks to a recent $1 million upgrade

The NorVa is a performing theatre located in Norfolk, Virginia. The NorVa's name consists of an abbreviation relating to its location.

The NorVa was the brainchild of local music venue entrepreneurs Bill Reid and Rick Mersel, who have also developed the NTelos Wireless Pavilion and have ties to the development of Farm Bureau Live at Virginia Beach. In 2014, the NorVa was acquired by AEG Presents.

The original NorVa Theatre opened in 1917 as a 2000-seat Vaudeville theater then thrived as a premier movie theatre into the 1970s. The building served as home to the Downtown Athletic Club from 1980 until 1998 when it was renovated for its current use. The building is often noted by its patrons to be charming and aesthetically pleasing due to its rustic and old-style appearance.

Another historic venue, this one in the center of the University Ave. business district in North Park, the Observatory was built in the 1920s and still features much of the classic art deco decor that has adorned the walls since it first opened. It was purchased in 2014, and its name was changed from the North Park Theatre, but the character of the classic theater remains. For starters, it's beautiful, and while it was a venue for opera and dramatic theater in its past life, its acoustics make it a surprisingly strong place to catch a touring rock or pop group. Even better, it's a spacious venue, supporting 1,100 concertgoers at a time with plenty of breathing room for everyone. The list of headliners that have taken to the main stage (yes an actual stage, not just an elevated DJ booth) reads like a who’s-who of national and international superstars: Paul Van Dyk, Kaskade, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Nadia Ali, Starkillers, ATB, Benny Benassi, and the list goes on.

The main dance floor is close to 9,000 sq. ft., serviced by three bars and is lit up by pretty stunning array of spotlights, LEDs, neon and other assorted shiny objects.  Multiple video displays, including a massive floor to ceiling projection screen behind the main stage, enhance the overall visual effect.  The sound system is Crown and JBL affair, capable of pumping a lot of quality sound out to the crowd.

The upstairs mezzanine features more viewing and dancing space, as well as VIP/bottle service sections overlooking the main floor, and another private VIP section with its own bar and DJ.  The covered outdoor patio also features a separate DJ booth and full service bar.  Overall the look is stylish, trendy, and a certain amount of casual chic.

The atmosphere is energetic, the interior is welcoming and the space is enormous.  Stereo Live is an 18+ venue.  Not necessarily dress to impress, but definitely don’t dress down.

 Madison has a new live entertainment venue: The Sylvee, a three-story theater in the Capitol East District that its creators say will help define Madison as a destination for touring artists.

The Americana band Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats will christen the space tonight with a sold-out show at the new theater — a cavernous, industrial-chic 45,000 square-foot theater space with a capacity for 2,500 people, nestled on the lower floors of the new Gebhardt Building at 25 S. Livingston St.

Frank Productions, the 54-year-old Madison-based music promotion company, owns and will operate the space. From its buffed concrete standing-only ground floor to the sightlines from its balconies, it’s a theater that company leaders say has been engineered with concertgoers in mind.

“This has been built up from the ground to be a concert venue,” said Scott Leslie, the co-president of Frank Productions’ local promotional arm FPC Live. “This isn’t a movie theater or an old warehouse.”

The contrast Leslie painted is a nod to the older venues that have historically hosted Madison music events. The Majestic Theatre, the Orpheum Theater and the Barrymore Theatre were moviehouses or vaudeville theaters before they became concert venues.

Following the acquisition of the Uptown, a $15 million renovation of the theater was completed. The original splendor was restored in the details and colors of Eberson’s original design. In addition, 33,000 sq ft of new lobby, bar, office and banquet space was added. Because of the redevelopment, the Uptown remains one of the few remaining atmospheric theatres still in operation. Permanent seating remains in the balcony and rear half of the main floor. The front half of the floor nearest to the stage is now open for table arrangements and general admission standing for concerts.

On July 2, 2005, native Kansas City band the Get Up Kids played their “farewell” show at The Uptown. The band re-united three years later.

The Uptown is now ranked number 82 on the list of the top 100 theaters in the world by the concert industry magazine Pollstar.

The entrance is set back among colorful terrazzo paving, and its art deco design contains decorative tile work along with colorful murals. The most dramatic element of the overall design is the sunburst on the ceiling of the auditorium, with each ray representing its own art deco skyscraper. The venue offers the perfect vibe and shape for a variety of events.

The Wiltern Theatre originally seated 2,344. Subsequent modifications in 2002 removed the 1,200 permanent seats on the ground floor to allow for a variety of configurations from a standing room only crowd of 2,300 to a more intimate seated arrangement holding 1850 people. The loge and mezzanine levels in the balcony continue to offer fixed theater seats. The venue remains one of the largest theaters in Los Angeles.

Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson (born 29 October 1987), known professionally as Tove Lo (Swedish pronunciation: [²tuːvɛ luː];  lo is Swedish for lynx), is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Called "Sweden's darkest pop export" by Rolling Stone, she is known for her raw, grunge-influenced take on pop music. Her honest, complex and autobiographical lyrical content has led to her being dubbed "the saddest girl in Sweden".

Raised in the Djursholm district of Danderyd, a northern suburb of Stockholm, Lo is an alumna of the music school Rytmus Musikergymnasiet. She formed the rock band Tremblebee in 2006. After it disbanded, Lo pursued a career in songwriting and earned a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music in 2011. Working with producers Alexander Kronlund, Max Martin, and Xenomania, she became a successful songwriter, recording and releasing her own compositions independently.

In 2013, Lo was signed to Universal Music, Island and Polydor. The following year, Lo rose to fame with her debut album, Queen of the Clouds, which opened at number 14 on the US Billboard 200 chart in October 2014.
