New Year's Eve 2018 Nashville

Papadosio - NYE 2018/2019
Monday, December 31, 2018 at Marathon Music Works
Doors open at 9:00 PM
Falling somewhere between rock, jazz and electronic mayhem we find space rock. This is a genre that is not readily defined, and is a state of mind as much as it could be considered a genre. This range of frequencies is where Papadosio tends to spend their time, sometimes dining in deep space, and other times snacking right on your front porch. Papadosio strives to create music that is strangely familiar, and calls all walks of humanity to bask in a unique experience celebrating the one constant in an ever changing world: music.
Join Papadosio in an effort to create, augment, and rejoice in the universal language of music. Most importantly, have a good time.

Unknown Hinson - NYE 2018/2019
Monday, December 31, 2018 at Exit/In
Doors open at 9:00 PM
Looking somewhat like Dracula's nasty little brother who spent some hard years drinking and working as a carnival barker for a second-rate freak show, Unknown Hinson translates that vibe to his style of country and western-tinged psychobilly. The band is now touring nationwide, wowing audiences with outrageous and campy, white-trash persona and freewheeling, sleazy tone.
Hinson's most recent CD release, "Live and Undead", melds weepy twang, searing guitar riffs and lyrics that speak of love-gone-bad. Recorded at a sold-out show, an enthusiastic honky tonk crowd sings along with the King on every song.
Raucous, theatrical and over-the-top, Unknown Hinson isn't just for the trailer park set anymore!
Unknown is gaining notoriety in the 18-34 demographic as the voice of lead character "Early Cuyler" in the popular show from Cartoon Network - "The Squidbillies". The first four seasons were so well-received that an immediate green light was given to future seasons. Check website for dates and time slots. http://www.adultswim.com/shows/squidbillies/
Unknown Hinson is a winner in Independent Music Awards for his entry alternative Country track "Torture Town" from the album "Target Practice". http://www.musiciansatlas.com
Unknown Hinson is a featured artist for Reverend Guitars, representing them in many Guitar Player Magazine features. A signature Unknown Hinson guitar is currently part of Reverend's celebrity instrument lineup. http://www.reverendguitars.com
Rockabilly Magazine named Unknown Hinson as their "Find of the Year" http://www.rockabillymagazine.com
Live interviews with Unknown Hinson along with his music are broadcast nationally on XM Radio's National Lampoon channel. (XM 154 along with FM radio partners). http://www.nationallampoonradio.com/
Sirius XM - Outlaw Radio has Hinson's tunes in regular rotation.
He's toured with Hank3, Rev. Horton Heat, the Boxmasters and Willie Nelson. Appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and other syndicated programming round out the list.

My So-called Band - NYE 2018/2019
Monday, December 31, 2018 at The Cannery Ballroom
Doors open at 9:30 PM
My So-Called Band parties begin with a favorite 90’s pastime: watching a little TV with a few (hundred, maybe thousand) F•R•I•E•N•D•S. A 10-minute video collage of pre-millenium pop culture (TV, movies, commercials, etc.) reminds you of a time when you knew all of the words to “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” because, trust us, you still do. For the next two-and-a-half hours, This Is How We Do It:
Hip-hop boldly reinvented itself - nothing will ever top Biggie, Tupac or the magical combo of Dr. Dre & Snoop Dog. En Vogue, R. Kelly & Aaliyah took mainstream R&B far beyond anything we’d heard before. From Ace of Base to Britney and Mariah, the 90’s wrote the pop perfection blueprint that is still being used today. These were the years of alternative rock radio’s time in the sun - Green Day, The Cranberries & Third Eye Blind ruled the airwaves, while Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails & Red Hot Chili Peppers raged against the machine.
Can you tell we love this music? We do. We’re not a “cover band.” An all-star roster of Nashville-based studio & touring professionals, we’re dedicated to performing these songs exactly the way they sound on your mix CDs. You should think of My So-Called Band as “The Dream Team.”
Our Starting Five play/have played for such acts as Ben Folds, The Pink Spiders, Tristen, The Privates, Lifeboy, De Novo Dahl, Feeble Weiner, Hotpipes & many, many others, as well as working with producers Ric Ocasek, Jerry Harrison, Roger Moutenot, Dave Fridmann, Matt Mahaffey, etc.
Rotating in and out of the game, previous and current special guest performers have worked with Wanda Jackson, Deer Tick, The Nobility, Johnny Corndawg (Johnny Fritz), Caitlin Rose, Wild Cub, etc.

Featuring Dave Paulson (The Privates, Character, Esposito), Dan Sommers (Happy Little Trees, Poly, Hotpipes), Keith Lowen (The Privates, De Novo Dahl, The Comfies, Lifeboy), Joshua Watson (Bravo Max, Matt Friction & the Cheap Shots, The Comfies, Feeble Weiner), Sam Smith (Ben Folds, The Comfies, Lifeboy), Larissa Maestro (Poly), Jerry Pentecost, Kristin Weber, Amanda Broadway, Aaron Robinson (Pale Houses), Benjamin A.
