Selva, the internationally-renowned club with Monte Carlo roots, has made its U.S. debut on the third floor of Amazónico Miami. If you’ve ever dreamt about walking upstairs from ceviche into a full-blown sensory jungle, Miami finally has the venue you’ve been manifesting. Selva officially opened its doors on November 15 and it’s already leaning hard into theatrics. The space is built like a nightclub-meets-art installation, with a custom photon lighting system, a towering LED tree and no shortage of neon shimmer. While the club draws plenty of inspiration from its Monte Carlo sibling, the interior still feels unmistakably Miami—think jungle-luxe with curved banquettes and a palette of golds and greens. The sound system consists of a NEXO setup engineered for chest-thumping clarity, which the team claims is among the city’s most advanced. Programming is a big part of the pitch at Selva and the team isn’t easing into the market quietly. Opening month talent includes Vanjee, GENESI, Nic Fanciulli, Grossomoddo, Josh Baker, Omar+ & Obskurr and a handful of still-to-be-revealed guests across a range of house and electronic styles. The club caps out at about 250 people, which makes it small enough to feel exclusive, but still big enough to catch a proper “hands-in-the-air” moment. Despite its location inside Amazónico, Selva operates as its own little universe. Doors open Friday, Saturday and Monday from 11:30pm to 3am. If you’re into dinner that turns into dancing that turns into “wait, how is it 3am?,” this is your new spot.
