Detroit Love launches its Brooklyn weekender on Saturday night at Superior Ingredients, bringing Carl Craig, DJ Holographic, Skin, and Van Der Laan into the Room for a late-night session centered on sound, lighting, and deep dancefloor energy. The Room is the venue’s most club-focused space, built for immersion and movement, and sets the tone for the weekend’s opening chapter. Detroit Love was created by Carl Craig as a way to extend the musical values that helped shape Detroit into a global force. Across decades as an artist, producer, and label founder, Craig defined the city’s relationship to electronic music through independence, experimentation, and a refusal to narrow the sound. That philosophy continues to guide the series, shaping lineups with intention rather than trend. Saturday leans fully into the after-dark side of the project. Craig performs alongside DJ Holographic, whose Detroit-rooted sets draw from house, techno, disco, R&B, and Motown, with appearances spanning Panorama Bar, fabric, Movement Detroit, and OFFSónar. Skin joins the night with a presence shaped by decades at the forefront of music and culture, best known as the lead vocalist of Skunk Anansie. Van Der Laan rounds out the lineup with deep, jazz-leaning selections and long-form storytelling built for late hours.
