Description
DJ Holographic is a one-woman funk machine born-and-raised in Detroit. Her mission is to serve a mix of musical cuisine that contains consuming house beats, passionate R&B, unreserved disco, true Detroit Techno, and Motown soul. Join her as she concocts her next rhythmic dish. Working with the Detroit music community, such as Underground Resistance, Carl Craig, Moodymann, Rocksteady Disco, and DJ Minx, she is inspired and her curiosity has the better of her.
Getting her start in the underground scene in Detroit (Necto, Marble Bar, TV Lounge, Grenadier Club), she’s now playing for parties both at home and across seas. She’s toured with Soul Clap for their E’Funk events in New York, D.C., and Berlin. Carl Craig personally picked DJ Holographic for Detroit Love’s events in Detroit, Barcelona, Paris, and New York. DJ Holographic was honored to be part of Black Madonna’s “We Still Believe Tour” in New York and L.A. Playing festivals like Movement in Detroit, OFF Sonar, Piknic Électronik in Paris, San Francisco Pride, and Red Bull Music Academy in New York.
Traveling over the last 2 years has afforded her the opportunity to play for crowds at About Blank in Berlin, Club Egg in London, Output in New York, and Smart Bar in Chicago. Mix Mag and DJ Mag have both featured her in print and she had the pleasure of presenting a mix on Fresh Kicks.
DJ Holographic’s mixes will put you in a mystic groove long before you leave your 9 to 5 and keep you satisfied until the sun comes up. Her DJ sets have always come to life when the crowd hangs up their responsibilities for the day and feels the truth within themselves.
She is currently spending a lot of time in her studio at Submerge in Detroit working on her first releases. DJ Holographic had a monthly radio show on Red Bull Radio called Stardust that is broadcast live from Red Bull Studio in Detroit. You can find all her mixes on Red Bull Radio now on Mixcloud. She also presents a monthly club night called KOSMIK at Deluxx Fluxx in downtown Detroit.
As her fans say, “So hot, please take me to the top”.
