Description
Revel in great storytelling, unexpected voices and shared wisdom spanning the ages.
The theme is: Matriarchs, Mentors and Aunties: Stories That Celebrate The Elder Women In Our Lives
Every generation has women who light the path. This night is about them. Six women, six decades, sharing stories of the grandmothers, mentors and icons who showed us what’s possible. It’s not just nostalgia, it’s wisdom, grit and love passed forward. When we honour the women who paved the way, we see more clearly how to walk our own.
If you’ve ever looked up to an older woman and thought, Because of her, I can, this show is for you. You’ll laugh, nod along and leave reminded that strength multiplies when it’s shared across generations.
Generation Women is an award-winning cross-generational storytelling night founded in New York in 2017, Sydney in 2018, and Melbourne in 2020. Each month, six women of note read an original piece on a theme. Of those women, one is in her 20s, her 30s, her 40s, her 50s, her 60s, and her 70s+.
This event is proudly presented by Generation Women Australia, founded by Donna Logue. Generation Women was created by Georgia Clark.
