Celebrate the release of FIGURE EIGHT’s 2024 self-titled EP available on vinyl for the first time via Cherub Dream Records, with support from beloved label-mates Pocket Full of Crumbs and Slake.
"Delivering a sweeping and succinct record to sundown a year fraught with frustrations and a litany of grievances is the moving self-titled from one of Oakland’s most beloved bands, FIGURE EIGHT. One of the Bay Area’s best and most slept on acts, they are some of the shiniest and most humble stars of a scrappy—yet prolific—scene of lionhearted upstarts. The principle duo of Nash Rood and Abby Goeser have expanded to a quartet to include the talents of Nicholas Coleman from Softie and Pork Belly’s Nicky Esparza.
Pocket Full of Crumbs: An emerging beacon for California indie rock, the trio illuminates a path that cherishes friendship and DIY music. "In My Hands I Hold a Lucky Cricket" (2024) and "KAN KAN / Pocket Full of Crumbs" (2025) out now via Cherub Dream Records.
Slake’s debut album "Let’s Get Married" has distilled the sonic quality of their performance to carve out and embody a genre that can only be defined as lesbian doom-folk. Something clairvoyant, something with a crunch, something soft with teeth - like a walk through fall leaves with a long-distance lover. Slake performs like how you've always dreamt that first kiss might feel.
