Description
Revel in great storytelling, unexpected voices and shared wisdom spanning the ages.
The theme is: Bridging the Divide: Stories of Unexpected Connections
Does it feel harder to connect these days? You’re not alone. In a world that often feels busy and divided, it can be hard to find those real, human moments of connection. That’s where Generation Women comes in. Six incredible women — from their 20s through to their 70s+— step on stage to share true stories of connection that changed everything.
From unexpected friendships to cultural encounters that opened new doors, each story will remind you that connection is possible, even when it feels out of reach.
You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. And you’ll leave with that little spark we all crave: the feeling that you’re not alone, and that together, we’re stronger.
Don’t miss this one-night-only celebration of connection and courage.
Performer Line-Up
Team 20s: Charisa Bossinakis has performed sold out shows at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival and this year, she starred in ABC's Urvi Went To An All-Girls High School. She brings her flair for absurdity, silliness and honesty to the Generation Women stage.
Team 30s: Megha Joshi is Indian by birth, Australian with time and a piece of paper, but human by race and choosing love as religion. She is an Architecture graduate turned Grief and Connection Coach, and after spending the past 12 years in Australia, being shaped by connections and different communities, she is still evolving into the soul that she is.
Team 40s: Aarti Vincent is a bilingual comedian bringing sharp, cheeky humour to stages across continents. With fresh takes on religion, family and the patriarchy, this ‘badass brown mum’ delights audiences in English and Hindi. Expect side-splitting storytelling, relatable parenting jokes and a reminder not to take life too seriously.
Team 50s: Jude Lunny is a proud mum of three wonderful adults, and Nanna to Penny. She’s studied, worked in multiple industries, co-authored a book and educated many on the traumas of drink-spiking rape. At 54, she is the best version of herself, appreciating life’s freedoms, love, laughter, friendships and endless connections.
Team 60s: Jeanie Faure is an artist and educator, and a volunteer at the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre. After earning graduate diplomas in Special Education and Student Welfare, she spent 30 years as a teacher, primarily in juvenile justice. For two decades she was also the lead singer in a rock band called the Crown Julies. She enjoys painting and ceramics, and currently teaches painting classes.
Team 70s: Mary Scott is an award-winning confidence coach, author and podcast host, passionate about helping women over fifty rise with purpose. With decades of experience in nursing and psychotherapy, she blends soulful insight with strategic expertise. A natural storyteller, Mary inspires others to lead, speak and live with courage, authenticity and unshakable confidence.
Generation Women is an award-winning cross-generational storytelling night founded in New York in 2017, Sydney in 2018, and Melbourne in 2020. Each month, six women of note read an original piece on a theme. Of those women, one is in her 20s, her 30s, her 40s, her 50s, her 60s, and her 70s+.
This event is proudly presented by Generation Women Australia, founded by Donna Logue. Generation Women was created by Georgia Clark.
