Think stories of seagulls with mischievous smiles and 17th century tales of lost love, sung in melodies that twist like creeping vines.  Recorded on a 1940s ribbon microphone straight to reel-to-reel tape, her most recent release Home Demos sounds as if it has been plucked from the annals of Weird Britannia. The album is more like a found object than a polished piece, featuring eleven beautifully home-spun songs that broaden the lo-fi soundscape that characterizes Avice’s sonic universe.
