Treasures, while not quite global legends yet, are certainly well on their way to being added to the pantheon of legendary San Francisco bands. Galvanized by an insatiable hunger to play rock & roll, singer-songwriter Jack Friel, and drummer Bobby Franz, formed Treasures in 2019. Ultimately adding guitarist Corey Largent and bassist Raoul Aguilera to the mix, the newly formed outfit spent the pandemic lockdown writing and recording demos. Those demos reached the ears of producer Mikel Ross (Corrosion of Conformity) and engineer Travis Kasperbauer (The Go-Go’s) who immediately recognized what they’d found and promptly put the band in a pro studio environment. The bands’ first LP, Gold Rush City, delivered what many refer to as a “modern classic”, lush with memorable hooks and melodic passages that surprised and delighted modern and classic rock lovers alike.

San Francisco post punk band Strange Cities' sound reflects the foggy, jagged, dystopian landscape that inspired their name. Whether stitching up pieces of a broken past or reflecting on an unknown future, their music skirts the fringe of noise and nihilism, melodic and melancholic, tragedies and trajectories. A post-post punk if you will...
You don’t have to die to start over but you might have to pretend to. Fake Your Own Death have been compared to Fontaines DC, Echo and the Bunnymen and Sonic Youth in both local and national press. They've shared stages with The Warlocks, Blood Red Shoes, Film School, Bob Mould, !!!, Gang of Four and others. FYOD is Terry Ashkinos (aka El Terrible), Scott Eberhardt, Adrian McCulough, and Shane Ryan.
