Oakland electropop legends The Lovemakers are still making waves following a string of sold-out NorCal appearances in 2024. Chic, dance-friendly Bay Area indie rockers The Lovemakers, earned a dedicated following in the early 2000s thanks in no small part to their electrifying live show. Founded by Stanford-educated marine biologist, Lisa Light and multi-instrumentalist Scott Blonde, the group self-released an LP in 2003 which quickly sold out at local record stores while the live show took the Oakland warehouse scene by storm. Stardom strained Light and Blonde's notoriously public relationship, but they went on to release critically acclaimed Times of Romance (Interscope), followed by two additional LPs before breaking up. After an icy 4 year hiatus, the band has been offering surprise rare shows to loyal and new fans alike, bringing the same grit, hooks, & high octane performances that earned them cult-hero status in SF electro scene.
Vice Reine is the SF-based electronic duo (and married couple) Remi X and DJEJ -- longtime fixtures of the Bay Area synth music scene. Hypnotic, aquatic, sci-fi, techno-tinged glam synthpop with an ever-evolving sound and glittering fantasy aesthetic. http://vicereinemusic.com/
