Description
Joanna Cotten is Memphis born, Arkansas raised and Juilliard trained. She has known what she wanted to do her entire life, which is sing for people and she has done just that. Joanna started studying voice at the age of 5 in Arkansas and at age 10 she studied at Rhodes College Music Academy, which eventually led her to accept a full scholarship to The Juilliard School. Joanna quickly realized that her love for other genres of music beside opera had a great pull on her heart and she moved to Nashville to pursue her musical dreams. She got signed to EMI Music Publishing where Joanna went on to have cuts by LeAnn Rimes, Leona Lewis and Danny Gokey. She signed an artist deal with Warner Bros. and recorded a debut solo record. After maneuvering through a few broken dreams, Joanna’s solo album was never released but she moved on to singing on other artists' records including Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Black Crowes, Brantley Gilbert and Eric Church. Joanna has sung on every record but two with Eric and went on to tour with him live for 8 years. She is currently going back to her true heart and working on a new endeavor with her solo music.
