DESTRUCTO
Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Destructo has been around for a while, and has a surprising reach. Born Gary Richards, he was the CEO and founder of HARD Events, and he also worked A&R under Rick Rubin's Def American Recordings. Over the decades, he brought Basement Jaxx, Lords of Acid, Deadmau5, Justice, and many more to mainstream exposure. At the height of the 2010s EDM craze, he focused on his electronic music and promotion of HARD concerts with friends like Skrillex and Diplo. He also remixed such diverse acts as Giorgio Moroder, Warren G, Depeche Mode, Rob Zombie, Major Lazer, and Rick James. In addition to his executive responsibilities, he spun as a DJ, adopting the moniker Destructo in the mid-'90s. He released a trio of EPs on OWSLA/Boysnoize: Technology (2012), Higher (2013), and West Coast (2014), which featured an impressive roster of guest spots by Problem, YG, Too $hort, Kurupt, Ty Dolla $ign, and Warren G. He continued to drop singles in the following years, including "Shipfam" featuring Anna Lunoe and Sgt. Buzzkill and "4 Real" featuring past collaborator Ty Dolla $ign and iLoveMakonnen. The next year, "All Nite" arrived, featuring E-40, Too $hort, and Iamsu! That track, as well as "4 Real" and "Catching Plays," were compiled onto the 2017 EP Renegade.
Habstrakt
Habstrakt's distinctive production style and sound has seen him remix the likes of Skrillex & Diplo, MUST DIE!, Barely Alive, Kill The Noise & Feed Me over the year, alongside to his own original tracks. Signed to the mighty Never Say Die Records, his unique sound cleverly bridges an array of bass genres, flirting with house, future bass and dubstep.
Going into 2015, Habstrakt counts DJ Snake, Tchami, Modestep and Jack Ü amongst his supporters and having played extensively across Europe and Australia, he is now preparing for a debut US tour.
Habstrakt's 'Cool Cats Never Die' EP, his first release of 2015, gives the frenchman an opportunity to showcase his versatility, and cleverly blends genres between heavy impact dubstep and dynamic, groove-ridden house.
Gerry Gonza
Gerardo Arellano started his interest in music at an early age, learning to read, write, and play percussion. He began producing on software after his brother introduced him to dance music and shortly after started to pick up deejaying. By 18, he was playing his first 2,000 cap club. In 2016, he decided to take a leap of faith and leave his on-the-rise duo Thee Cool Cats to pursue a solo career. He came out of the gate swinging with a remix for HARD boss Destructo followed by the release of his hit track “Bad Bitches” on Tchami’s imprint Confession.
Gaining support from the likes of Claude VonStroke, Richy Ahmed, AC Slater, Shiba San, Claptone, Wax Motif, and many more, he's hit the scene hard, bringing a mixture of driving basslines and drums combined with melodic synths that come together to form an indistinguishable sound that’s always fresh.
Blending any and all influences, he makes music that’s free. Expect anything and everything from Gerry Gonza.
