Soldera Details
It was in 2011 that Rogério Soldera started his career in the music scene for real. And what a career! In these 12 years, the DJ and producer has established himself as a key figure in the Brazilian house/techno scene. Talented, chameleon-like, and stubborn - in the sense of insisting on going against the current and doing what his heart commands - the São Paulo native from Vinhedo began to gain national recognition when he took on the residency at the historic Anzuclub in Itu/SP. There, besides developing his DJ skills, opening for names ranging from Alesso and Alok to Gui Boratto and Solomun, he created the famous Pistinha party, which helped spread the deep house sound of artists like Adriatique, HOSH, Jamie Jones, and Lee Foss in Brazil, at a time when only EDM was being talked about. With this, he helped influence a whole new generation of fans and dance music artists in the country. Over the course of eight years, Soldera embraced Anzuclub with such passion that he was essential in making it one of the 20 most popular clubs in the world - in 2014, the club ranked 19th in DJ Mag's Top 100, and his work was recognized by the magazine's team. Riding the wave of success, Rogério started to be featured in the lineups of the country's top clubs and events, such as Greenvalley, Warung, El Fortin, Club 88 (where he also led an important monthly residency), Tomorrowland, XXXperience, Electric Zoo, Tribe, and Federal Music - as well as label parties like Warung Tour SP and FewBeats, which brought in acts like Art Department, Anabel Englund, Danny Daze, Hot Natured, Karmon, Lee Foss, and Patrick Topping to Fazenda Santa Bárbara. With the pandemic, he began to focus his studies and efforts on afro house - a style he had been flirting with since 2015 when he discovered the sound of Black Coffee in Ibiza. From 2020 onwards, the São Paulo producer reinvented himself once again, quickly gaining international recognition for his work and, in the process, helping to spread another wave in Brazil. In the new decade, the DJ has stood out through releases on labels such as MoBlack (the world's leading afro house reference), Aluku Records, Sneja, and Dawn Patrol, gaining support from heavyweights in the international scene such as Apache, Arodes, AWEN, Bedouin, Keinemusik, Klement Bonelli, and Pippi Ciez. In 2023, he is experiencing another great phase. He reached the 16th position on the Beatport afro house chart with "Cohiba" (Wired Music), collaborated with African singers such as Sazi Cele and Tázia Farrão, helped boost new talents like the duo Feels Apart, enjoyed headlining tours in Chile and Argentina (where he played at two afters with Hernán Cattáneo), and once again delivered an outstanding performance at the Union Stage of XXXperience. His latest release also holds great promise. Through MoBlack, the EP "Baianá & Baião" is set to be released this Friday, (29th), with two super original remixes for "Baianá" and "Baião Destemperado," classics from the famous Brazilian body percussion group Barbatuques. Through social media, it is already possible to see some videos that have gone viral with his track "Baianá" heating up dance floors in Greece and other places around the globe, thanks to Keinemusik. Always reinventing himself and insisting on seeking new trends that speak directly to his soul, Soldera survives the challenges of time and positions himself more and more as one of the greatest, most complete, and distinguished DJs in his country.
