Born in London England and raised in Europe in the 70's, SHANTO was steeped in the evolving disco sounds and culture that permeated the era. He was fascinated and entranced by the music which continued to evolve and consume his life ever since. Four decades later, he is revered as one of Los Angeles's most sought after DJs, for his innovative and cutting edge style with the broad knowledge of music that has given him the flexibility to play to a variety of audiences who seek an EDM rush.

SHANTO has an intuitive and uncanny ability to read a crowd & his music selection differentiates SHANTO from other DJs. In any given week you can catch him spinning at one of LA's top nightclubs, or at a warehouse in an obscure building in downtown at 4 AM. His energy and passion shine each and every performance. And he never fails to wow the audience with his innovative and unique style. Playing a broad range of EDM, from a commercial set for the mainstream clubs to deep tech sounds for the underground scene, he's undoubtedly an asset to the music scene.

As former resident at Chris Breed's La Vida & Sunset Room Nightclubs, and current resident at TRU in Hollywood, SHANTO has also played at some of LA's biggest events such as The Roosevelt Halloween Party, The Egyptian Theater's New Years Eve Bash, and the opening of many top promotions & nightclubs. Recently he has also dipped into the production realm, working on some original tracks, with a debut EP slated to come out in July 2013. What had started out as a passion for house music, has quickly become the driving force behind his goal to be recognized as one of the best in the business.
