You know you’ve struck gold in EDM circles when Steve Angello opens his sets with one of your tunes, and that’s just what happened to Italian pair Merk & Kremont this year.

“After that moment many top DJs asked us for the promo of that track to play it in their sets. It fills us with joy as much as playing in locations like Miami or like the famous Italian club Cocoricò, which has been one of our dreams since we started.”

This pair are self-confessed “studio guys”, and it’s no wonder, given that they have pretty much released a new single or remix every month in 2014. No mean feat, given that they have also toured more than ever and have played every major league club and festival you could imagine.

“We found out that people are starting to appreciate the groove more and the melodies over the loud and distorted sounds,” reckon the pair of their musical evolution this year. “And this change in the game is positive and makes us want to keep producing more quality material.”

With that in mind, the pair promise less club-focused songs and much more radio-friendly melody in the future.
