Japanese Breakfast is an indie rock band headed by Korean-American musician, director, and author Michelle Zauner (born March 29, 1989). The band released its first studio album Psychopomp (2016) on Yellow K Records, followed by Soft Sounds from Another Planet (2017) and Jubilee (2021) on Dead Oceans.

Zauner released her debut book, Crying in H Mart: A Memoir, via Alfred A. Knopf in 2021. The book is planned to be adapted into a feature film by Orion Pictures, with Zauner providing the soundtrack.

Drawing more than a million visitors each year, Doheny State Beach is a truly magical place for a music festival. With camping, RV access, biking and hiking trails, this park is set squarely on the Pacific Ocean near Dana Point Harbor with views that go on for days. Doheny’s musical roots run deep, too, with the Beach Boys having immortalized the area in their 1963 smash hit, “Surfin U.S.A.”

Speaking of surfers, don’t be surprised if you see a few catching some late afternoon waves as you enjoy the music and food at the fest. Visitors also love the park for its tide pools and other natural attractions. To help preserve the park, a portion of proceeds from the Ohana Festival go to the San Onofre Parks Foundation. Primavera Sound is a music festival that takes place between the end of May and beginning of June in Barcelona, Spain. The first edition took place in 2001 in Poble Espanyol and moved to the Parc del Fòrum, a much larger site on the seafront, in 2005. The nature of the festival (urban and an integrated part of the city) and the wide range of bands represented have made Primavera Sound a meeting point for artists and spectators from all generations. In 2012 the festival expanded to Porto, the second biggest city in Portugal under the name NOS Primavera Sound.[1] This one takes place at the Parque da Cidade a week after the Barcelona edition. A spin-off of the festival titled "Primavera a la Ciutat" takes place in selected places in Barcelona from plazas to churches and offers free concerts a couple days prior to the festival's inauguration.[2] A third counterpart of the festival, named Primavera Sound Los Angeles is scheduled to take place at Los Angeles State Historic Park every September starting in 2021.

Recently expanded to three days, expect the Swedish version to feature the same great lineups that fans have come to expect from Lolla. Like Berlin and Paris, the debut Lollapalooza Stockholm takes place in a beautiful park close to the city center.

It is organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Presents which never fails to bring the world's biggest artists from every genre to the festival. The global, leading Asian music and media company, 88rising, in partnership with Goldenvoice, the Los Angeles-based company behind concert events like Coachella and Stagecoach, announced the 2021 Head In the Clouds Festival will take place on Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. 2021 marks the very first time the Head in the Clouds Festival, which originally debuted in 2018, will be held over a span of two days, a change brought on by its continued growth and success.

In previous years the Head in the Clouds Festival has featured star-studded lineups from the Pan-Asian community including acts from Joji, Rich Brian, Higher Brothers, Anderson .Paak, iKON, Zion.T, and more.

"We're excited to bring back the world's greatest Asian music festival to Los Angeles at a new location just outside the historic Rose Bowl. Both the 88rising and Goldenvoice teams have been hard at work to provide fans an immaculate experience from the lineup to the production to the food. The Kilby Block Party is a music festival that started in 2019 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Salt Lake City’s longest-running, all-ages venue Kilby Court. Keeping with the spirit of this iconic venue, KBP aims to bring together SLC’s music community with some of our favorite internationally renowned artists. Our first two editions of this festival were actual block parties on Kilby Court’s adjacent street of 700 South in downtown SLC. KBP1 and KBP2 were headlined by longtime friends Death Cab For Cutie and Young The Giant who both performed at Kilby Court in the beginning of their careers. In 2022, we took a chance and moved KBP3 to Library Square to host a 2-day festival featuring headliners Phoebe Bridgers and Mac DeMarco. With thanks to our incredible Kilby community, the festival sold out both nights in less than a week and the KBP3 weekend proved to be one of the best large scale indie music festivals to ever occur in downtown SLC. We are excited to be expanding this festival once again in 2023 by moving to the Utah State Fairpark for a 3 full days of music, art, food, culture, and more!

The independently run Pitchfork Music Festival has consistently proven to be one of the most welcoming, comfortable, reasonably priced and rewarding weekends of music around. The Phoenix Suns have a new arena name, after agreeing to terms with engineering company Footprint, the parties announced Friday. The downtown Phoenix complex will be called Footprint Center.

Footprint is an environmental-based tech company that wants to eliminate single-use plastics. The Arizona-based firm develops and manufactures plant-based packaging products and is recognized on the 2021 CNBC Disruptor 50 list, which honors private companies leading out of the pandemic.

Financial details of the agreement were not provided. But NBA arena sponsorships are typically seven figures annually, and sports partnerships consultancy firm IEG notes agreements can also range up to $30 million a year.

In an interview with CNBC on Wednesday, Suns managing partner Robert Sarver said the agreement with Footprint is “one of the most unique partnerships in sports” because Footprint has full access to the arena and will use events to test new technologies.

“We’re going to innovate and transform how sports venues operate,” Sarver said. “The idea is Footprint will create an innovation lab for us within our arena, and then we can take that and get other arenas throughout the world interested in doing the same thing.”

Originally built in the 1930′s as a silent movie theater, The Granada has been hosting live music since 1993. Drake is making History. He's teamed up with Live Nation to launch a venue called History that will open in Toronto later this year.

The venue will have a capacity of 2,500 and will host around 200 shows and events per year. It's in the Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto's east end at 1663 Queen Street East. By Drake's arena-sized standards, this is a "smaller room."

He said in a statement, "Some of my most memorable shows were playing smaller rooms like History. I wanted to take those memories and what I learned to create an incredible experience for both the artists and the fans."

History has been in the works for more than three years. Construction is scheduled to wrap up later this summer. An announcement states, "History includes a convertible general admission area and reserved seating configurations for all types of events — from concerts, live entertainment and galas to community programs and events.

Touring vaudeville acts of the era performed on its stage and the screen was lit up with silent movies, accompanied by live music in the largest orchestra pit in the state. In its heyday, such local and national show-biz luminaries as Eddie Cantor and Orson Welles regularly looked over the footlights from the National’s stage.

Upon its reopening in 2008, The National has seen another chapter of its history unfold. The NorVa is a performing theatre located in Norfolk, Virginia. The NorVa's name consists of an abbreviation relating to its location.

The NorVa was the brainchild of local music venue entrepreneurs Bill Reid and Rick Mersel, who have also developed the NTelos Wireless Pavilion and have ties to the development of Farm Bureau Live at Virginia Beach. In 2014, the NorVa was acquired by AEG Presents.

The original NorVa Theatre opened in 1917 as a 2000-seat Vaudeville theater then thrived as a premier movie theatre into the 1970s. The building served as home to the Downtown Athletic Club from 1980 until 1998 when it was renovated for its current use. The building is often noted by its patrons to be charming and aesthetically pleasing due to its rustic and old-style appearance.

O2 Forum Kentish Town is a major live entertainment venue in London and one of the UK’s best preserved, original cinematic theatres.

It was originally built as an Art Deco cinema in 1934 by Herbert Yapp, a cinema magnate who also owned the Forum cinemas in Ealing and Fulham and the architect was J. Stanley Beard with interior design managed by his partner W.R. Bennett.

The venue launched with a grand opening ceremony of music and films, conducted by the star Sydney Howard, on 17 December 1934 and was taken over in March 1935 by Associated British Cinemas (ABC) along with the other Forum cinemas and changed renamed the ABC until 1963, 28 years later.

The ABC cinema closed in 1970 to become a bingo hall and then a dance hall and in the 1980s the venue's name and usage was changed to the Town & Country Club. It became one of the must-play venues on the indie circuit for up-and-coming bands as well as established acts. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, bands that played included The Velvet Underground and Pixies to Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine and The Wedding Present.

In recent years, O2 Forum Kentish Town has seen some legendary performers take to the stage including, Dave Grohl and Sound City players, Jack White, Rihanna, Bobby Womack, Justin Timberlake and KISS.

Another historic venue, this one in the center of the University Ave. business district in North Park, the Observatory was built in the 1920s and still features much of the classic art deco decor that has adorned the walls since it first opened. It was purchased in 2014, and its name was changed from the North Park Theatre, but the character of the classic theater remains. For starters, it's beautiful, and while it was a venue for opera and dramatic theater in its past life, its acoustics make it a surprisingly strong place to catch a touring rock or pop group. Even better, it's a spacious venue, supporting 1,100 concertgoers at a time with plenty of breathing room for everyone. The calendar at Observatory North Park is always full, whether it's showcasing alt-rock a-listers like Tame Impala or filmmaker and camp icon John Waters.

The Ogden Theatre originally hosted live performances such as weekly organ recitals, dances, lectures and vaudeville acts - most notably, the legendary Harry Houdini. By 1937 it had been converted to a movie theater that featured everything from the classics to the avant garde. In the 1980's it also featured the cult movie classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The Ogden Theatre was re-opened in 1993 featuring a wide variety of live performances. The theatre found its niche and has become Denver's premier concert venue featuring approximately 150 concerts per year. The Ogden Theatre is an official Denver landmark and a national historic landmark.

The Red Hat Amphitheater is an amphitheatre in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is adjacent to the Raleigh Convention Center. The Raleigh Amphitheater books acts through an agreement with Live Nation, and is owned and operated by the City of Raleigh. The Amphitheater’s season currently runs from April through October.

The Bomb Factory and its neighboring venue Canton Hall have been rebranded as The Factory in Deep Ellum and The Studio at the Factory, according to new websites and social media accounts for the new venue.

The phone number and email address for The Bomb Factory have also been delisted, indicating the change for the historic venue is already underway.
