In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded darkness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone.

Years spending wandering medieval landscapes have informed Claptone’s view of the world, experi- encing both magical mystery and muted melancholy he enchanted onlookers with occult instruments and beguiling sounds. Forever surrounded by a sense of intrigue, the world soon cottoned on to the elusive yet enchanting musical powers of this otherworldly beast. The results are that today his sha- manistic sonic powers take him all around the world.

Whilst Claptone has continued to roam in his own circles, 2012AD proved to be a year dominatedby his infectious ‘Cream’ track. It became an immediate hit, topping new world charts at Beatport and RA, whilst the sonic conjuring of the ‘Night On Fire’ EP also lured all those who heard it, with the result another Top 20 hit. But that’s not all, for the creativity flows freely in our hero, and his ‘Another Night’ also proved to be just as successful on the dancefloor. Deep and woozy, the Claptone sound pairs theatre with tragedy, feel good vibes with acute melancholia and imbues each groove with a Rhodes laced funk, an organic string hook and myriad earthy elements.

Up to the present day, Claptone releases have been birthed on Germany’s influential Exploited label, picking up props from the likes of Pete Tong, DJ Sneak, Soul Clap, DJ Hell, Jesse Rose, A-Trak along the way. Who or whatever Claptone is, it is alive, with a life of its own, evolving and revolving in equal measure, exploring new sounds naturally and forever taking inspiration from long gone and occult worlds.
So far, esteemed and influential dancefloors at clubs in Berlin, London, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai, New York and many others around the world have fallen under the sonic spell of this secretive alche- mist. The future is unpredictable for Claptone, but a new release ‘Wrong’ including the track ‘No Eyes’ with the inimitable JAW from French funsters dOP is on the horizon. For a DJ who only started playing clubs and venues 5 years ago Danny Howard’s rise to success has been almost as fast as his heroes of the dance scene
Hailing for the North West of England at the UKs premier entertainment resort Blackpool, Danny has already established himself as a real genuine next level DJ in a very short space of time.
Throughout his DJ career Danny has already had great success playing at various venues across the UK and internationally gaining residencies at Ministry Of Sound as well as the UKs biggest Super club ‘The Syndicate’ in Blackpool.

In his own words Danny describes his style as ‘Sexy house’ but because of his love for electronic music, he never likes to typecast himself into a single style or genre… ‘If it sounds good, I’ll play it’! ‘I hate that certain DJ’s swear by a single niche genre and act as though all other music isn’t worth listening to’
Danny’s DJ sets are very much based on being adaptable, using influences from every genre from every era and giving the crowd in front of him a performance!

Blackpool born, Danny has played at some of the North West’s top nightclubs as well as at various venues across the UK often supporting some of the world’s top DJ’s & Acts. He has also featured on some of the UK’s biggest club brand dance tours such as Hed Kandi, Cream, Gatecrasher & Goodgreef.

At just 23 years of age, Danny became one of the youngest resident DJ’s at The Syndicate Superclub in Blackpool (The UK’s Biggest Club) and also had a very successful residency for the world renowned Ministry of Sound & Hed Kandi based in Egypt earlier in 2011.

Danny is also a dab hand nightclub promoter with his uber sexy brand ‘Randy Ron’ which he runs with lifelong friend and now business partner, Alex Huckerby, gaining a really big following around the North West particularly in Blackpool & Manchester with a very Glam and up for it crowd following.

With his future yet unscripted things are rapidly on the up for Danny and his rise to stardom is motoring very fast. With his feet firmly on the ground the future is looking very bright for this young emerging star from the North West

I'm the guy pushing to change the sound from record to record...the struggle for most producers is to NOT sound the same every time, which is something not everyone can accomplish", explains the diversely talented Harry "Choo Choo" Romero. The DJ and producer remarks, "I am always into combining eclectic flavors and bringing new concepts into the studio".

Sounds refreshing? Well, it's true. In a day when many young producers of dance music have talent and bright ideas, very few also have the forethought and the consistent reputation of Harry Romero.

Harry had the privilege of being raised in a musical family -- his mother soaked the air with the Latin rhythms of merengue and cumbia, while his father, a former opera tenor, practiced his scales and listened to Beethoven. As a result, Harry is constantly looking to expand musically, and has.

The Run-DMC inspired Choo Choo (the train conductor's cap worn since childhood may have something to do with the nickname) felt the impact of the Latin-freestyle movement in the 80s, and jump-started his career as a DJ with a high-voltage performance at a New Jersey dance club. From there, he was taken under the wing of Millennium Music, a management company and production team. Harry worked with their label, Gossip Records (distributed by Strictly Rhythm), creating demos and gathering some useful industry-related knowledge.

His first record, Soulfuric "Urban Turban" was clearly ahead of its time, weaving Arabic scatting with house grooves. Strictly Rhythm grabbed the record for release in 1995, and asked him to release a follow-up Soulfuric record, called "Sea Of Passion" which captured more Latin elements. Both records were licensed extensively, catapulting Harry's name and music out into the world.

A number of releases followed for labels like Emotive, Sex Mania, Power Music, and Gossip Records. One of Harry's major breaks resulted from Robert Clivilles interest in one of Harry's creations, "Il Futuro", a house track with an Italian vocal from "World" EP. Robert asked Harry to write, produce, and arrange a song, "Saturday Night" for his 1996 LP "Robi-Rob's Club World". As expected, lots of work followed for Harry.

Part of what the future was to hold was Harry's decision to join forces with Erick Morillo and his now internationally famed label, Subliminal Records. Along with Morillo and producer/DJ Jose Nunez, Harry played a definitive role in laying the foundation for what has come to be the highest quality dance music label.

The collaborations with his labelmates and others have been extremely important for Harry in developing his name and his body of work. Constipated Monkeys, Harry's acclaimed partnership with Jose Nunez has produced several percussive, funky tracks including "Cro-Magnon" and "Erectus". Another Subliminal collective, Ministers De La Funk, a trio comprised of Romero, Morillo & Nunez, created one of the label's biggest hits "Believe" with Jocelyn Brown on vocals. Under the guise of The Dronez, the three remixed some of club lands biggest tunes including Whitney Houston's "I'm Your Baby Tonight" and Madison Avenue's "Don't Call Me Baby". The prestigious Muzik Awards honored the mastery of Harry and fellow Dronez, deeming them the "Remixers of the Year" in 1999.

Equally competent in his own right Harry enjoyed success with "Hazin & Phazin" which Defected licensed in the UK, "Just Can't Get Enough" featuring Inaya Day on vocals which AMPM snapped up and consequently saw enter the top 40 in the UK national charts, and recently the darker deeper sound of "Beats Vol 1" and "Beats Vol 2". Perfecto Records snapped up Beats 2, after watching crowd reactions to Paul Oakenfold and Timo Maas dropping the track. His talents ever expanding, Harry has been sought after for various solo remix projects including Basement Jaxx' "Bingo Bango" and Modjo's "Lady".

Not content with this Harry has launched his own label, Bambossa, which is being distributed by Subliminal and has gained worldwide support with the release of debut single "So Lonely" by Harry and Alex. His solo tracks, "Tania" and "Night At the Black", made waves all summer long and were a mainstay in the set of every DJ whose record box touched down on the shores of Ibiza.

Known best for his flawless original productions and remix wizardry, 2002 saw Harry lending his unmistakable technical skill and impeccable taste for the first time to a solo DJ compilation, the forthcoming "Subliminal Sessions Two". Prepare for the unexpected! He is combining highly eclectic musical flavor with the instinctive precision so many have come to revere.

2004 saw the release of his debut artist album, "That Beat." With hit singles "Calling Me," "I Go Back" and "Be The One," this album hit the house music scene and just exploded upon them. Harry held the Album Release Party during the 2004 Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida, and spent the next few months touring the globe, promoting the album.

Still riding high from the recent success of "That Beat," Harry mixing Subliminal Sessions 7, out Summer 2004 on Subliminal. With choice cuts, this latest volume of the Subliminal flagship series is sure to please. He's also set to release some tracks on Bambossa. This multitalented dj/producer/remixer just doesn't quit!

Renowned for powering the dancefloor with octane dynamism, Melé is an artist who fully warrants his current status as a revered selector and producer. Boasting a particular niche of sound that utilises a mesh of world music influenced house, transatlantic hip hop, broader UK sounds and classic Chicago grooves, the boy from the Wirral is gaining worldwide recognition by the minute. 

His catalogue thus far reaps a hotbed of anthemic music, from his two releases on Eats Everything Edible imprint, hotly acclaimed DJ Haus’ Unknown to the Unknown, his In The House compilation on the legendary Defected Records (following Loco Dice, Masters at Work and Nic Fanculli), ‘Ambience’ the carnival charged flex that not only kick started his prolific career but also undoubtedly spearheaded the tribal house movement and of course, his score of remixes and production efforts for the likes of Mabel, SG Lewis, George Morel, Ray Blk, Kano and Friendly Fires. 

In fact it was his mighty remix for Friendly Fires’ 'Heaven Let Me In' with which he ended a hugely prolific 2018. Last year saw Melé further prove his unique ability to don the perfect balance between party-fuelled plays and esteemed, underground sessions by headlining a veritable array of clubbing and festival hotspots including Gilles Peterson’s lauded Worldwide Festival to the legendary elrow in Barcelona. It was also the year that he took on multiple US tours playing the likes of EDC Vegas, CRSSD and Smart Bar, Chicago in his debut year. His colossal Club Bad brand consecutively sold out six shows, with guests like Jasper James, William Djoko, Mella Dee and DJ Boring all passing through. It was also the year that his Club Bad guise added a string to its bow, debuting a clothing range alongside UN:IK Clothing to much acclaim - both ranges sold out within days of dropping.
