Relentless Beats announced the return of Goldrush Music Festival this September along with details on tickets and travel packages.
After a year of not hosting full capacity events due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions, Arizona’s Relentless Beats has come out with a hefty offering of announcements, the latest being the return of the Goldrush Music Festival. While they have kept us going with socially distant events through these challenging times, nothing beats the anticipated return of the first full-scale extravaganza since 2019 in their home at Rawhide Western Town in Chandler, AZ on September 24-26. 

The announcement of Goldrush Music Festival’s return arrived with the news that the festival won’t just take place over its standard two days, but will be adding a third day into the mix as well. Relentless Beats has also committed to bringing their signature Wild West production to the festival while also amping up the fan experience and offering of artists on the lineup.

While the lineup for the upcoming edition remains a mystery, Relentless Beats assures that the first round of talent rolls out next week. If the bill is anything like that of previous years, which have included big names like Adventure Club, Destructo, deadmau5, Green Velvet, and Claude VonStroke, fans are definitely in for a top-notch experience.

As shared in a press release, the name comes from the Portola Festival of 1909 which was a local celebration that honored the reopening of the city after an unprecedented earthquake in 1906 destroyed most of San Francisco.

Primavera Sound is a music festival that takes place between the end of May and beginning of June in Barcelona, Spain. The first edition took place in 2001 in Poble Espanyol and moved to the Parc del Fòrum, a much larger site on the seafront, in 2005. The nature of the festival (urban and an integrated part of the city) and the wide range of bands represented have made Primavera Sound a meeting point for artists and spectators from all generations. In 2012 the festival expanded to Porto, the second biggest city in Portugal under the name NOS Primavera Sound.[1] This one takes place at the Parque da Cidade a week after the Barcelona edition. A spin-off of the festival titled "Primavera a la Ciutat" takes place in selected places in Barcelona from plazas to churches and offers free concerts a couple days prior to the festival's inauguration.[2] A third counterpart of the festival, named Primavera Sound Los Angeles is scheduled to take place at Los Angeles State Historic Park every September starting in 2021.

The creative site and stage design is led by art director, Aaron Martin and will take the energy to stratospheric levels. The one-of-a-kind amphitheater in the park ensures every viewpoint is perfect with a beautiful downtown skyline view in the backdrop. It will host a massive, ancient temple inspired stage in collaboration with 44 Designs. Intricate lasers, choreographed LED, moving lights, and art installs will illuminate the park. The venue is less than a mile from auxiliary party locations, downtown Nashville, and some of the city’s coolest districts. Deep Tropics has created an entire program of off-site pre-parties, late nights, workshops and opportunities to connect in intimate settings throughout the weekend.

Deep Tropics’ mission is to be the greenest festival in the United States. To support these goals we launched a non-profit organization called Deep Culture, which exists to curate experiences that activate transformation of self, community, and planet. We are going beyond Carbon Neutral to become a Net Positive energy and water event. This simply means we create more energy (and water) than we use. Now, with just two months to go before house and techno lovers flock to the Orlando Amphitheatre at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, the lineup flyer for Skyline Orlando has been revealed. First posted by GDE, this edition is brimming with some of the biggest artists in the scene today such as Adam Beyer, ANNA, Eric Prydz, Green Velvet, Chris Lake, and Hot Since 82.

Brooklyn Mirage is the outdoor oasis in the Avant Gardner complex, situated in the heart of East Williamsburg. It's open during the summer season each year, and decked out with thousands of plants and even palm trees, and boasting a KV2 Audio system, it's designed to be a sensory experience for both the ears and eyes.

It is the outdoor component of Avant Gardner, an 80,000-square-foot development at 140 Stewart Avenue in an industrial corridor of the East Williamsburg neighborhood, a few grubby blocks from Queens. By fall, a warehouse (now filled with sacks of cement mix and construction equipment) will be transformed into an event space. Another area will become a 5,000-square-foot club. All told, it will hold 6,000 visitors.

In the North River area, across from the enormous Sound-Bar is Chicago’s Spybar. At 4,200 square feet, Spybar’s provides a more intimate setting settled in a basement. The style inside is trendy, but subtle. There are oak floors with black walls and above you are exposed rafters. Spybar makes good use of glass and leather in other areas and some really nice indirect lighting.

Hip hop and underground music are played, but either as much as house music played by live DJs and blasted out by a state of the art sound system that will not take it easy on your ears.

The owners of Spy Bar take the place seriously enough that they spent $1 million dollars renovating it years ago. The investment paid off and Rolling Stone Magazine named it in the top ten of best dance clubs in America! Famous DJ and Producer, Seth Troxler, said Spy Bar is “Basically the only place I play in Chicago.”

Spybar doesn’t open till nine, there is usually a cover, but they also offer valet parking to help deal with the downtown location. If you’re in to house music and some EDM, the intimate feeling Spybar provides may be right up your alley.

Sound nightclub is THE bastion of deep house / underground electronic music in LA. It’s a small, intimate venue with a one-of-a-kind Pioneer sound system that will rock your socks.

The venue has a raw and industrial look with lots of California redwood furniture and walls and offers a fairly spacious dance floor located right in front of the DJs perch. As suggested in the name, the venue boasts a unique and cutting edge sound system and a killer A/V system, so the visual elements are as stimulating as the unbelievable audio. This is a great place to go in Hollywood that actually books talents who play good deep house and more minimal/artful house rather than your typical top 40 hits and popular house music bangers.

Space Yacht on Tuesdays mostly features bass heavy lineups and has garnered one of the fastest growing followings in the bass music scene. Framework Fridays are about underground deep house and techno music and the people who live for it. Sound Presents mainly features house music.

On occasion Sound will host some well known DJs (Kaskade, Afrojack, Markus Schulz, etc) but more often than not you’ll get the likes of Guy Gerber, Seth Troxler, EDX, Digweed, etc. This is one of our favorite clubs in LA!

The historic Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall is located in downtown Los Angeles next to USC. The Shrine has hosted many prestigious events such as the Academy Awards, the Grammy’s, the SAG Awards, People’s Choice Awards, BET Awards and more.

The venue comprises the single largest proscenium style stage with freestanding balcony in North America, with some 6,300 seats and an adjoining 54,000 square foot Expo Hall. The Shrine is operated by Goldenvoice.

The venue is located in the only surviving factory building on the Amsterdam canal ring, a former sugar and, later, milk factory. This historical building houses two concert halls, a cinema, a theatre, and an exposition space, which each can be used separately or combined together.

Welcome Concord Music Hall as the newest addition to Chicago’s historic music culture. Conveniently located between the storied neighborhoods of Wicker Park and Logan Square, this new, scalable live venue will host a diverse range of musical acts. The room’s capacity ranges up to 1490. A venue of this size will fill a void in the already thriving artistic community by housing larger and diverse nationally touring bands, DJs, and more in a fun and safe environment for fans, artists, and members of the community alike. Concord is defined as an agreement or harmony between groups. 
With this in mind, prominent independent Chicago promoters Riot Fest and Silver Wrapper have come together with Concord Music Hall to help program the venue. Cova Santa is set in the beautiful Ibiza countryside and built around an ancient cave. Discovered in the 15th century and opened to the public in 1957, it became one of the main tourist attractions of Ibiza in the early nineties, having grown into a vast and beautiful event location with a world-class restaurant, flamenco dancing shows and after-dinner dancing.

The Amnesia group purchased the venue in 2001 and in 2013, Marco Carola threw a few of his legendary Music On after parties at there, successfully catapulting the venue to renewed prominence.

These days, Cova Santa is home to a renowned high-class restaurant, so the vibe is largely much more chilled. But it is worth keeping your eyes peeled for music and clubbing events because, throughout summer, there are still some dotted that are well worth a look.

The Gothic Theatre is a former movie theatre, the first in Denver to show “talkies,” turned music venue. Originally built in the 1920’s The Gothic Theatre’s grand art deco style provides an extraordinary and beautiful background. Though the front façade was altered in the 1940s to keep pace with modern tastes of the times, when renovated in 1998 the historic interior was kept as the venue was rebuilt from top to bottom and fitted to become a premier part of Colorado music. On June 23, 1999, when the very appropriate legends of New Orleans, The Rebirth Brass Band, took the stage, the glorious Gothic Theatre was back in the business of making memories. Since then the Gothic Theatre has hosted many distinguished shows. Local bands as well as nationally recognized bands continue to showcase their talent at the venue.

The Magic Stick got its start in the early 90's when the Majestic's owners removed eight bowling lanes from the second floor alley, replacing them with ten pool tables and a dance floor. The concept quickly caught on as the basement motif provided an ideal backdrop for the burgeoning garage, alt rock and electronic scenes in Detroit. Later, the remaining four upstairs lanes were removed and the dance floor was expanded to complete the construction of what would become one of city's legendary rock rooms.

One interesting touch at Virgin Hotels is an outdoor esplanade where diners can enter restaurants from their patios that look onto the pool scene. Crafted by an expression of computerised soul, Tinlicker are the modern face of Dutch electronic dance music. Based out of Utrecht, the guys started their journey towards today in late 2012, honing their sound, continually shaping their destination, creating their new ideal in music. Initially self releasing music it wasn’t long before said sound was noticed by none other than Feed Me, who was quick to sign a number of songs to his taste making Sotto Voce label. From there the ears of Zerothree tuned in and the world was given an array of head turning singles, including the irrepressible ‘Maandag’. Fans of Above & Beyond and Deadmau5 will be no stranger to Tinlicker, who have supported their beats many times across their live shows, Group Therapy and BBC radio shows. It’s no surprise then that when the time came to find a home for the 2017 hit ‘Soon You’ll Be Gone’ Anjunadeep was quick to put their hand up. Recently followed by the smashing ‘Because You Move Me’ on Armada and the ‘Jalapeño EP’ on Mau5trap.

Music is emotion, and through electronic music emotions are transfered more easily when the sound is warm and organic as opposed to canned and cold. Those who've listened to Jan Blomqvist know that his music definitely doesn't belong to the latter category because the sounds he uses are 100 % self-formed and perfectly underscore his distinct and secure voice, making his music alive and close.

For over 7 years he was the singer, bassist and songwriter of a band who rocked North Germany with a dark melodic grunge-rock sound. After moving to Berlin and being inspired by her influences Jan found his passion in electronic music. Making a tough decision to quit the band, he traded his guitar for an apc40 and 5x8Spur-Matrix and began producing and performing solo.

Today his sound has can be described as a mixture of Radiohead, Muse, Bodi Bill, Stephan Bodzin and James Holden - a beautiful balancing act between melancholic, melodic electro-pop and euphoric minimal techno making Jan one of the most interesting and promising young artist in Berlin at the moment.

Monolink, known to friends as Steffen Linck, is in the middle of a studio session, working in a complex filled with studios in his home of Berlin. He’s fighting off a moment of writer’s block. “I’m a little bit stuck,” he says over the phone, avoiding sugarcoating his process, as he steps back to reset. This is a moment to take in the development of his new endeavor. 

Linck started his Monolink project in the early 2010s. With the release of ‘Sinner’ on March 13th came the announcement of a new album to come in 2020, two years after his 2018 debut ‘Amniotic’ (and 2019 deluxe version). After releasing both on the Berlin-based Embassy One, he joined the home of artists like Röyksopp, Booka Shade, and Example. His upcoming album, as yet without a name or a release date, is still in the developmental phase.

“I’m still gathering ideas, snippets, and demos,” Linck says. He’s about halfway through with the project, and though his overall vision is clear, it’s just as easy to get out of rhythm as it is to get back into focus. “It’s like figuring out in which situation you’re the most creative, or in which situation your mind feels most creative and it can just flow. And the task is to kind of put yourself into that situation, to train yourself. And sometimes when it doesn’t work, I’m just gonna try the next day.”

The album has so far been a reflection on what’s going on in Linck's life right now: how he wants to live, what things are pushing him in the right direction, and what things he’d like to change. Attention has been turned to a recent break up, where he saw a stifling of his creativity, and now, its return. “Sometimes, it can also be inspirational to be suffering,” Linck says. Paying objective attention to your own life can be uncomfortable, but the way Linck describes it sounds like a search for Nirvana.
