Lady A: What A Song Can Do Tour Dates 2021 Dates, Calendar, Events & Parties
Lady A are the latest country act setting their sights on a summer concert run, announcing a jam packed schedule for their What a Song Can Do Tour.
Revealing the news on The Ellen Degeneres Show Wednesday (May 19), Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood said the news has been a long time coming, and they plan to get back to business in a big way. Kicking off July 29 in Uncasville, Connecticut, the tour will feature 34 stops in amphitheaters from Boston, Massachusetts, to Irvine, California, with special guests Carly Pearce, Niko Moon and Tenille Arts. And according to the band, its name comes from the way music kept them going through the pandemic.
“This tour is really going to be about letting our fans know how much they mean to us and what music has done for all of us over the last year … which is the essence of the tour name. We started writing a song called ‘What A Song Can Do’ and it turned into a love-letter to our fans,” Kelley said. “We are gonna soak up these moments on stage more than we ever have before. It’s gonna be hard to wipe the smiles off our faces and I’m sure the tears off Hillary’s. We were lucky enough to still release new music this past year but there are songs like ‘Champagne Night’ and ‘What If I Never Get Over You’ that we haven’t been able to play live much so we know those will make for some really special moments.”
Like their peers, Lady A were forced off the road in March of 2020 as COVID-19 swept across the U.S. In the time since then, they’ve made select appearances on awards shows, TV specials and more, but the new tour will mark their first full-scale return to the stage. Last year, Lady A also released a bouncy new track titled “Like A Lady” — which they performed on Ellen.
