Originally opening on Orlando's Orange Avenue in December 1921, the venue was purpose-built to host vaudeville acts, later to become a cinerama, and in its latest incarnation a nightclub and live music venue. Current renovations take the theater back to its original era while state-of-the-art sound and lighting effects progress the venue into the future. Downtown Orlando's largest entertainment destination is everything from a pumping nightclub late night on the weekends to a progressive live music concert hall.
A location that has entertained for almost 100 years, The Beacham’s history is rooted in Vaudeville to Cinema and everything in between. This building has met with many celebrities and their greatest projects. In the last 4 decades, superstars graced the mammoth stage including Devo, The Police, Backstreet Boys, 50 Cent, Lauryn Hill, Good Charlotte, Tori Amos, Pat Travers, Soundgarden, FloRida, The Pixies, Pink, David Byrn of Talking Heads. Dance music’s innovative DJs The Crystal Method, Paul Oakenfold, Benny Benassi, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, David Guetta, John Digweed, Razor & Guido and Carl Cox have also called this historic building home. Celebrities and locals alike love this larger than life vintage theater. Recently, a half million dollar lights and sound make-over catapulted this venue into a league of its own boasting as Downtown Orlando’s greatest music venue to date.
