The first Sun Soaked concert took place in 2017 and attracted a crowd of 12,000 people at Alamitos Beach. Last year it grew to more than 30,000 music fans and this year a second day was added. “Sun Soaked is such a personal love letter from me to summer,” Kaskade said in a press release. “I’ve never gotten over that feeling when you’re young and the days seem endless and you’re just cool and sun-kissed, dripping in sweat. Now I have the opportunity to add the perfect soundtrack for those moments, add some out-there visuals and party elements and stretch it out over a whole weekend. It’s my dream scenario, and if I can have the company of sun and sand lovers with me, then all the better.”
