Los Angeles
Mexican Independence Weekend

Every September 16th weekend, the city of LA celebrates Mexico's Independence from Spain in 1810. September 16th may be the official holiday, but the party starts early in LA and lasts through the weekend. DTLA, Santa Monica, and Hollywood get into the El Grito festivities with world-class live performances, cuisine and festivities in honor of Mexican Independence.
