Join the Low Bar Chorale for a singalong fundraiser benefiting the Oregon Justice Resource Center, in partnership with Willamette Week’s Give!Guide. The Oregon Justice Resource Center (OJRC) is a nonprofit whose mission is to frustrate and dismantle mass incarceration and systemic discrimination in the criminal legal system by promoting civil rights and improving legal representation for historically underserved communities. OJRC's programs include the Civil Rights Project, Immigrant Rights Project, Oregon Innocence Project, Women’s Justice Project, and Youth Justice Project. www.ojrc.info Project POOCH provides life-changing opportunities for incarcerated youth and shelter dogs by operating a kennel inside Maclaren Youth Correctional Facility. Youth learn basic dog training, shelter management, and job skills, and the dogs get adopted into their forever homes. The youth and dogs learn, grow, and change together. www.pooch.org Both organizations are featured in Willamette Week’s Give!Guide, a year-end fundraising campaign that runs from November 1-December 31 to raise awareness and encourage support of local nonprofits.
