Bringing Multi-dimensional sound adventures to elevate the mind and soul, Tynee has evolved into one of Hong Kong’s most cutting edge DJs, transforming genres into new expressions of dance floor euphoria. Since her early days of playing vinyl locally and internationally, Tynee has “unzipped” her sound into a much bigger audio canvas today. Her mind expanding voyage submerges you gently with compelling rhythms as the frequencies of Electro, Minimal, raw Breakbeat energy and mesmerising psychedelic Techno bounces you to another place of heightened bliss and amplified energy. From Acid tinged Minimal to stripped down Techno and electrified Breakbeat, they all come together with everyone in a dancing frenzy. Tynee is a resident DJ at OMA, Hong Kong’s mecca for underground Techno and electronic beats. She also played in Social Room, Acadana, Terrible Baby, and other clubs with discerning, future-friendly music directions . Before the Pandemic crippled many of Hong Kong’s clubs and bars, she was a regular DJ at Buddha Lounge, the longest standing after-hours club in the history of Hong Kong clubbing, notorious for some of the finest high energy Techno and devoted artists who played some unforgettable sets well beyond the morning hours of any given weekend. After the lockdown was lifted, the landscape of clubbing and dance music shifted into a variation of underground events and platforms. Some included yoga/spiritual wellness activities as other warehouse events brought together artists from vastly different coordinates of the global DJ map, creating new music canvasses for the artists to collaborate and effervesce their sounds on Hailing from UK, but calling Hong Kong their home, Lucents is a DJ / Producer duo consisting of Ryan Doherty ( Cortecx, Bricolage) and Andy Smith (Andy-S, Reach) As producers, they nod to classic deep and soulful dance music, but with their added twists of swinging rhythms and textures, cinematic moods combined with a minimal approach. Their mission being to create transcendental moments, deep and meaningful, where darkness meets light. As DJ’s they encompass what it is to work as a team. Building the energy and atmosphere together in a unique and playful way. Always feeding from each other and delivering that emotion to the dancefloor. They are as at home playing rare 12” disco records as they are playing Detroit techno and everything in between. Their main drive is uniting people with music through providing a positive energy of love, togetherness and a higher vibration. This is evident in everything that they do.
