But underneath the costumes, chaos and oversized shoes is a seriously tight group of musicians who know how to throw one hell of a party. What started as a clown-themed tribute to LCD Soundsystem in 2018 has since turned into a full-blown, immersive dance party — with audiences getting just as involved as the performers. Each show takes a life of its own. Past performances have included everything from underwater utopias to a human car wash to an entire ClownTown, complete with its own newspaper, contested election and fast-food drive-thru.
