Description
SECONDS is a collaborative project by Setaoc Mass and Phara. As a producer and DJ, Mass operates at the intersection of classic UK techno and contemporary, hypnotic minimalism. His releases on his own label, SK_eleven, stand out for their sound design, which is heavily influenced by the precise percussion patterns of the TR-909 and cool, sequenced synthesizer arpeggios. Phara, the Belgian producer and resident DJ at FUSE Club, pursues a sonic concept that is, in turn, heavily influenced by the raw aesthetic of 90s warehouse techno. Under the name SECONDS, these two minds will merge to play B2B sets as well as release collaborative tracks. At Panorama Bar, Lucas Depta and Violetta from the Berlin label hello, goodbye will be spinning. Depta is a longtime employee at the Hamburg-based vinyl distributor Word And Sound and, back in the day, could often be found playing techno techno under the alias Lakkes. In recent years, he has shifted his musical focus toward house, disco and electro. He often plays B2B sets with Violetta and, on their joint label, has re-released the Sascha Funke and Swayzak remixes of Quark’s “Allein,” a timeless document of Berlin’s electro-pop-infused era in the early 00s.
