Jan Swam is the founder of Organic Signs and co-founder / curator of Refractor Festival, an artist whose practice is rooted in an ongoing exploration of rhythm, texture, and movement. Built around tribal percussion, intricate rhythmic structures, and soundscapes that destabilize the listener’s sense of time, his sets gradually transform from minimal pulses into constantly shifting sonic forms. More than simply a DJ set, his performances unfold as immersive experiences in which sound and perception intersect, continuously evolving and drawing the listener into unfamiliar territories. Solma is a Paris-based producer and DJ, as well as co-founder of Virtual Forest Records. Starting from contemporary deep techno and UK bass, his work explores highly detailed and precise approaches to sound design. Moving fluidly through DnB, halftime, tribe, and other forms, his sets layer deep low-end frequencies with psychedelic textures, continually dissolving the boundaries between tempo and genre. Treating DJing as a space for experimentation on the dance floor, Solma creates constantly evolving experiences in which physical propulsion and immersive sonic environments coexist. In Room 1, Nomadlinq members shimosoma and Riku / 大陸 will open the night with a B2B set, presenting an adventurous and experimental approach to sound. They will be joined by Kotaro Shimizu, organizer of the techno parties ENSITE and GURUGURU, whose distinctive style is shaped by a uniquely psychedelic sensibility, playing B2B with Nomadlinq’s Rikuto Shibazaki. Room 2 brings together DJs with distinct individual perspectives, each active within Tokyo’s underground scene. jo, founder of 00parts, develops deeply immersive soundscapes while also working as a staff member at CIRCUS TOKYO. Kaibshr, who has appeared at Nomadlinq on multiple occasions, has established a strong presence through assured sets rooted in bass music. Luka, who has been involved with Nomadlinq since its early days and plays across house and electro, will perform B2B with Sasaki Daichi, whose selections are shaped by a cosmic and psychedelic sensibility. Also appearing is Lynta, organizer of ENSITE, whose distinctive style combines storytelling with intricate sound design. Milan-based Rei7801, active across clubs and radio platforms throughout Europe, explores a broad spectrum of psychedelic sounds. Rounding out the lineup is uuu7, whose genre-crossing approach brings together diverse grooves with a subtle sense of immersion. Over the past two years, Nomadlinq has hosted forward-thinking artists from Japan and abroad across a range of venues, including Geinst, K.O.P. 32, Abo Abo, Occa, UFO95, and TOMO. Moving across the boundaries of techno, trance, IDM, and beyond, the collective has continued to present forms of dance music that engage both the body and the mind. Jan Swam and Solma each approach psychedelia from a different perspective, yet both build their sonic worlds around detailed textures, complex rhythms, and deep low-end frequencies. On this night, those worlds will be experienced through the Void Acoustics sound system installed at CIRCUS TOKYO.
