OTTOMAN GRÜW is a Brussels-based technoid unit and the driving force behind the Mutant Modality label. Operating from the liminal space of dark, noisy and club-oriented electronic music, OTTOMAN GRÜW has developed a singular style of hallucinatory compositions - assembling EBM, industrial, ambient and post-punk influences within body-driven techno frameworks. Active since 2017 across live performance, music production and DJing, OTTOMAN GRÜW bridges the gap between alienation and transcendence through mechanical structures on the verge of collapse and intricate atmospheric layers. Relentless bassline arpeggios, ever-expanding drones and derelict vocal elements form the core of its sulfurous, mystical sound. The project has made its way from Montreal’s underground to iconic venues including Tresor (Berlin), Khidi (Tbilisi), and Bossa Nova Civic Club (New York), as well as clubs and festivals across Europe, North America and Latin America.
