An RSVP is good for one per person. RSVPs help us prepare for events and keep attendees updated, but do not guarantee entry. Attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis \[even for those who have RSVP'd\], and entry is subject to capacity. From sirens to fire alarms, air raid signals to cell phone alerts, the sounds of emergency are pervasive. In their visual art and DJing, Jesús Hilario-Reyes takes up the siren as an instrument of seduction and alarm — a call for bodies to move, whether in response to potential danger or to an incoming beat. Benjamin Krusling’s poetry moves between fractured online subjectivities and protean forms of collectivity forged in music, struggle, and ruptures in day-to-day life. At Public Records, Hilario-Reyes and Krusling will discuss the interplay between far-reaching sounds, mass movement, transmission, and transcendence. Triple Canopy is committed to cultivating unconventional, unassimilated forms of thought and expression, and to meaningfully supporting the people who produce them. The magazine collaborates with contributors on artworks, essays, fictions, conversations, performances, and books \[among other media\] from conception to realization, navigating the digital and physical realms where ideas and audiences take shape. In doing so, Triple Canopy strives to not only analyze but alter the structures that influence whose voices are heard, whose stories are circulated, and whose experiences are valued. Founded in 2007 and based in New York City, Triple Canopy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been certified by W.A.G.E., and is a member of the Coalition of Small Arts New York City (CoSA NYC). DURATIONS Festival is a week-long, multi-disciplinary exploration of sound and connection. Now in its fifth iteration, the festival’s programming is its most robust yet, with seven days of music, talks, audiovisual work taking place between Public Records, Pioneer Works, Roulette, and Whitney Museum of American Art. \- Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
