Description
Earl Minnis, in association with Rock Cellar Productions and the Get Together Foundation, presents its 2nd Annual Charity Concert Event, an “Orchestrated Tribute to The Beatles.” This unique tribute features The Tribe band performing songs off two all-time favorite Beatles albums: “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Magical Mystery Tour.” This multimedia event includes some of SoCal’s top singers along with the Folk Orchestra of Santa Barbara, plus very special guest artists including the legendary 60s psychedelic rock band the Strawberry Alarm Clock (“Incense & Peppermints”), Jay & the Americans (“This Magic Moment”), Ron Dante of The Archies (“Sugar, Sugar”), Dennis Tufano, Original Voice of The Buckinghams (“Kind of a Drag”), Tom Garrett of The Classics IV (“Spooky”), Darren Dowler of Paul Revere & the Raiders (“Kicks”), legendary keyboardist Don Randi (The Wrecking Crew, Nancy Sinatra) & more possible surprises. Special guest performances include appearances by David Pack (founding member of Ambrosia) and Justin Fox (Dishwalla) - both Santa Barbara locals, plus Carly Smithson (American Idol), Ken Stacey (Elton John, Michael Jackson) & Jean Fogelberg. The Tribe’s musical director is Phil Lo Presti, and the evening will be co-hosted by Santa Barbara radio host Catherine Remak and Chris Carter of Breakfast with the Beatles. “We are so happy to return to Santa Barbara for our 2nd annual event, and very proud to be partners with Adam’s Angels and Santa Barbara Humane. Together we make a difference.” –Kevin Wachs, drummer & executive producer. Proceeds will be donated to two worthy Santa Barbara charity organizations: Adam’s Angels, a compassionate local group of volunteers extending help to community members in need; and Santa Barbara Humane, a non-profit animal welfare organization offering pet adoption, low-cost vet care, behavior training, and more.
