Local producer, DJ, record slinger at Invisible City and label head of Off Logic will guide you through the history, key figures and sound of dub techno from his personal record collection. From the early 1990s onward, dub techno has been a staple sub-genre of electronic music. Evolving from the sound of Dub music in Jamaica and early techno from Detroit, dub techno was established in Germany through its elusive approach to a new form of the genre defined by its spacious, minimal and effect heavy sound. Emerging with his debut record Dangerous Goods on local label Parallel Minds into his own imprint Off Logic, dub techno has been a major inspiration for his productions and DJ sets. He will share some of his most influential records and chat about them in depth. Expect listening to records from Basic Channel, D. Diggler, Bandulu, and much more.
