COLORS’ newest offering in partnership with ITLF’s mutual aid night. A night of music for the community by the community. Global groove is here to celebrate and feature LIVE music in KC while staying true to our mission of exploring global sounds. These sessions are here to platform a wide variety of talent in the spirit of unity and community. You can expect live bands, live synths, vocalists, poets, rappers and producers. Much like Kansas City we want to offer a bit of everything! Our third installment of Global Groove will focus on blending Jazz and hip-hop. The night will feature a wide variety of talent like up and comers WSTPRT Radio taking the underground by storm with unique blends of improvised production, melodies and lyrical genius. O’SHAE will be on the decks throughout the night keeping the room moving and the night flowing! Producers Sammy Sheets and Maadcxmmander will be dropping sets AND Last but not least our main event: Jaylen Ward debuting his latest project in full- MIRROR MOUNTAIN!! Every GG session at In The Lowest Ferns will partner with ITLF in donating to Mutual Aid. Net proceeds from the doors will be donated to G’s legal defense! Igor, known to friend as “G” was captured by ICE earlier this month and remains in a detention center fighting this injustice. G arrived to the US as an 8 year old child and due to the ever changing immigration policies he was left in the country without a pathway to citizenship.
