Via App joins us at Bossa Nova Civic Club for the second edition of Obscur, a celebration of the liberating energies of nighttime and dark electronics. Wrap yourself in the shadowy contours of EBM, synth, electro, industrial techno and acid. The night will also feature a vinyl-digital hybrid b2b by Serpentskirt and Subcultures, and solo sets by Zeigler and Swimmie. - - Via App is a Brooklyn-based sonic field researcher, electronic alchemist, and club chaos conduit. Known for their cutting affect and acrobatic versatility, Via App’s sonic arsenal includes both live and DJ sets, which anachronistically traverse time and style with polymorphic ecstasy and punk spirit. They also play live electronics in Tongue in the Mind with Juliana Huxtable. The band released their debut EP with PAN in May 2024, and their subsequent Full Length LP will follow in 2026. They are a resident DJ at Shock Value NYC and throw the quarterly queer goth function Creatures of the Night with Neon Christina. They have released music with BANK records, Break World Records, Tresor, DJ-Kicks, Country Music, Parkingstone, SVBKVLT, Al Gharib, Drowned By Locals, PTP + TBA new solo productions to be released this year. - - Let's not forget: We all feel better in the dark.
