Known for his productions influenced by sub-heavy UK tech-house and turn-of-the-90s bleep & bass, this Melburnian talent is now based in Barcelona and has been taking Europe by storm with his live set. Nicole joins us once more, this time for her first Hopper closing. In the opening: Madd Rod, a debut we are excited for – expect influences of 2000s Electroclash, 1990s EBM, and the raw energy of 1980s Proto-House and Italo Disco. And watch out for Techno Obst – back again with their dirty, bouncy, bassy sound and plenty of fruit! In Acid Bogen, a softer touch from digger and radio host Frinda Di Lanco, flanked by your favourite local writer-come-DJ John Loveless and eclectic experimentalist Telephones with a mix ranging from balearic tutti-frutti and proto-house to cosmic techno and outerworldly explorations. Local stalwart Benji DF takes you into Sunday morning, transitioning smoothly into 257 with another local: Flo Pirke. Vicky Brabeck and Alex New pay a visit from Cologne, joined by familiar faces Sascha Sander and Daniel Dreier. In the closing: Multifun with great energy and even better selections.
