Xiaolaba's DJ career began at the legendary Elevator Club in Shanghai. Over the past eight years, he has traveled around the country with a variety of tricky and weird selections to clubs big and small and many radio stations at home and abroad. He has a truly fresh and universal sound in his Set. In the five years that NTS Radio has been in Shanghai, he has been one of the most popular voices in the NTS Shanghai series. From the indigenous beats of the rainforest to the nomadic melodies of the Sahara desert, from the ecstasy of the Caribbean islands to the mysterious sounds of South Asian underground dance music, and the unique niche of 5th world dance music, this will be a story you've never heard before, but deeply rooted in your body's instincts. His mind is often blank and often swept by a torrent of fragmented information that leaves him Lucents Hailing from UK, but calling Hong Kong their home, Lucents is a DJ / Producer duo consisting of Ryan Doherty ( Cortecx, Bricolage) and Andy Smith (Andy-S, Reach) As producers, they nod to classic deep and soulful dance music, but with their added twists of swinging rhythms and textures, cinematic moods combined with a minimal approach. Their mission being to create transcendental moments, deep and meaningful, where darkness meets light. As DJ’s they encompass what it is to work as a team. Building the energy and atmosphere together in a unique and playful way. Always feeding from each other and delivering that emotion to the dancefloor. They are as at home playing rare 12” disco records as they are playing classic Tech House or Detroit techno and everything in between.
