Reb & the Good News:
Reb & the Good News is a Portland based funk-pop, world, and soul group known for their positive message and genre-blending sound. Catchy horn lines and sultry vocals soar over grooves that you can’t help but move to. World rhythms, funky bass lines and soulful, jazzy vocals coalesce to form a sound that’s upbeat and warm. The band is led by vocalist and guitarist Reb Conner, whose songs look for the good news in a world of so much bad news. Reb’s vision is to create dance music that touches the heart and inspires a life lived in pursuit of the silver lining. She is supported by her creative partner, sax and keys player Leon Cotter, (a touring member of the California Honeydrops), as well as some of Portland’s heaviest hitters: Cyrus Nabipoor on trumpet, Milo Fultz on bass, Kirk Kalbfleisch on drums and Carmelo Torres on percussion.
Love, DEAN:
Love, DEAN is a Soul-Americana duo from Portland, OR, known for rich harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and undeniable onstage chemistry. With just two voices and a vintage hollow-body guitar, Rachael and Luke Price create music that’s raw, timeless, and full of soul. Luke, in addition to producing and songwriting, is also a 5 time Grand National Fiddle Champion, and grew up immersed in communal traditional music. Rachael started writing and singing at a very young age and brings a powerhouse voice that radiates vulnerability and strength to every stage. Their latest self-titled release is out now! They are about to release their third studio album and have spent the last 10 years touring and teaching nationally.
