Mama Sam & The Jam:
Portland-based psychedelic folk-pop outfit Mama Sam & The Jam are in the business of transcendence…raising vibrations, loosening hips, and leaving a little stardust in the air. Think Mazzy Star wandering into a Fleetwood Mac rehearsal: dreamy, hook-forward melodies wrapped in lush, sky-climbing harmonies, trippy guitar shimmer, and grooves that bloom from slow sway to full-body sway.
Live, they’re pure kinetic chemistry. One minute they’re pulling at your heartstrings, the next they’ve got the whole room moving in unison. The Jam features Carmen Paradise, Nick Foltz, Rachael Curtin, and Mike Wiser (sometimes joined by Justine Renee and Carolyn Groves) all circling around powerhouse songwriter Mama Sam, who fronts the band with soulful vocals and rhythm-soaked guitar.
Mama Sam & The Jam signed with PDX collective label VLVT HEART RECORDS and are gearing up to release their long-awaited debut full-length LP, Songs About Boys, arriving September 2026.
Glam Country:
Blending the emotional sweep of 1970s rock with the storytelling spirit of cosmic country and folk traditions, Glam Country creates music that feels both expansive and deeply personal. Balancing crunchy hooks, shimmering guitars, and groove-forward arrangements with lyrical themes of longing, transformation, and self-reflection, Glam Country leans into vulnerability without losing its sense of joy or grandeur. The results are songs that feel lived-in, human, and strangely triumphant. Featuring lead vocalist and guitarist Nik Kemmer, drummer Zoey Bourgazas, keys player and vocalist Kristin Gordon, lap steel and guitarist Nolan Gordin, and bassist Philip Krug, Glam Country has become known around the Portland music community for their tight, emotionally resonant live performances. Over the past year, the band has worked to capture that experience on their debut self-titled album, available on vinyl and streaming September 15th, 2026. Listen to the first single ‘To Be Free‘ now at glamcountryband.com.
Karl Kling:
Pivoting from the electronic stylings of his past, Portland-based songwriter and producer Karl Kling has embraced a more grounded and visceral sound. His latest work unveils a sunbaked, moody blend of psychedelia that weaves together elements of krautrock, shoegaze, folk, and pop nostalgia.
