K Wata is an NYC-based artist, DJ, and co-founder of the SLINK label and club night. His distinct sound has been described as "bassbin minimalism”, consisting of spacious dub textures and skeletal club rhythms. After some staggering performances at Sustain-Release, Osmosis, and most recently Parameter (with collaborator Enayet as E Wata), we can’t wait to host him presenting new solo live material for the first time in San Francisco. Born and raised in Montreal, zi! has been active in the city’s vibrant underground scene for over half a decade. They enable dancefloor euphoria through DJing as well as with event organizing, as part of queer collective FLUSH and of Missed Connections. As a DJ, zi!’s musical selections draw from a range of genres, from house to dubstep, always with a dubby touch. zi! has floored us with standout sets at Sustain-Release, Honcho, and most recently, Dripping, and we’re so lucky to have them join us for their SF debut. ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗ Resident suade will open up the night.
