July 23rd, Belltown Yacht Club presents a night of romantic darkwave in support of Mary’s Place. Los Angeles artist Caress headlines the night with her seductive, nocturnal synth-pop, with support from Seattle’s 2Libras and The Phantom Eyes. Nixotine and Boy Cookie present their goth burlesque between acts, with pre show DJ set by uhhcult and post-show goth dance set by DJ Boneburner. Caress is the Los Angeles–based electronic project of Tara Jane, whose seductive, nocturnal sound draws from 80s darkwave, post-punk, and synth-pop in a sleek blend of hypnotic drum machines, pulsing basslines, and glassy synth loops, paired with detached, haunting vocals that drift through the shadows, creating a cold, sensual atmosphere shaped by pain, lust, obsession, and desire.
