About Ries Brothers
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida, The Ries Brothers (pronounced “Rees”) are a force to be reckoned with on the music scene. This dynamic duo, Charlie and Kevin Jordan Ries, blends rock, blues, jam, and reggae into a soulful and sophisticated sound that captivates audiences.
Charlie, the elder brother (30), delivers powerful vocals while simultaneously laying down the groove on drums and keyboard bass, creating a unique and full sound. Kevin Jordan (26) complements him perfectly with his guitar, ukulele, and melodica wizardry, adding layers of sonic creativity and soulful harmonies.
Their journey began on the Florida bar circuit as teenagers, where their talent caught the attention of legendary band CHICAGO, leading to two regional tours and a decision to chase their musical dreams full-time. The Ries Brothers’ captivating live performances have earned them a loyal following across various musical genres.
They’ve graced major stages, sharing the spotlight with renowned artists like O.A.R, G Love & Special Sauce, Stick Figure, Pepper, Galactic, Stephen Marley, 311, Big Something and Iration. They’ve also rocked major festivals like Okeechobee, Sunfest, Cali Roots, Innings Fest, Shaky Knees, Sweetwater 420 Fest and Summer Camp.
In 2024 they were signed to SKP, founded by Nick Hexum of 311, and are currently releasing their next batch of singles which were co-written with Nick.
About Free Whatever
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Free Whenever’s music sits somewhere in between form (saguna) and formlessness (nirguna).
The band's guiding philosophy and approach to making music is rooted in long-form improvisation resulting in a unique blend of vintage psychedelia, dub, eastern modality, african rhythmic tradition and melodic guitar that leaves listeners high -- fully immersed in a synesthetic sound experience.
Their new self-titled LP is the Brooklyn-based trio's latest statement and has brought them attention among fans and musicians alike. Coupled with electrifying live shows, Free Whenever is continuing to make waves throughout the modern psychedelic music scene, sharing the stage with acts like Karina Rykman and Balthvs and playing venues like Brooklyn Bowl, Baby's All Right, and The Sultan Room.
