About Esther Rose
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
Esther Rose began writing Want, her fifth album, during a long solo drive, turning a playful list of desires into a deeply personal exploration of longing, growth, and self-reflection. Blending pop melody, country storytelling, and the raw energy of punk, the album unfolds like a memoir—chronicling rock-bottom moments, evolving relationships, recovery, and hard-won clarity, all delivered with Rose’s signature warmth and relatability. Long celebrated for live shows that foster catharsis and connection, the Santa Fe-based songwriter reaches new emotional depths here, offering her most direct and vulnerable writing to date.
Musically, Want is Rose’s most adventurous record yet. Recorded live-to-tape in Nashville with producer Ross Farbe, it embraces distortion, spontaneity, and full-band intensity while preserving her gift for unforgettable melody. After a period of burnout and self-doubt, Rose recommitted to music with renewed honesty, drawing strength from trusted collaborators and a more open creative process. The result is a powerful, wide-ranging album that confronts vulnerability head-on, balances chaos with stability, and closes on a poignant reflection of past and present colliding—marking Want as the strongest and most expansive work of her career.

Sam Gelband is starting over while trying not to leave it all behind. His debut album “That’s All” is far from his first, but it is an arrival that’s been a long time coming. A recent collaborator with The Sons of Rainier, Bella White, Dean Johnson, and Chris Acker, Gelband emerges with his own true voice, one we won’t soon forget.
