- About DJ Born
BORN (aka Darian Jerard) discovered his love for music in the Bronx during the late 70s Hip Hop renaissance. After moving to Philadelphia, he and his twin brother, Damian, began hosting parties to introduce the community to the genre. During his time at Lincoln University, Darian was introduced to House music, a passion he has pursued ever since. His work in the Philadelphia nightlife scene deeply connected him to the city’s underground music and culture. This led to the creation of ROGUE—a nature-based party series focused on community donations—and the eventual birth of his DJ persona, "BORN."
- About Dotmatic
-
Dotmatic (of Deep Black Society) is a 15+ year veteran of Philly’s indie soul & house music scene. As a DJ and producer, Dot creates a unique sound and vibe built around his love for Hip Hop, Soul Jazz, Deep House, Tribal and Dub music, coupled with Afrobeat, Latin and Dancehall rhythms.
-
His latest venture is Deep Black Radio, a 100% Black-owned internet radio station, based out of Philadelphia. Deep Black Radio broadcasts curated playlists and live content 24/7, focused on celebrating Black music + Black culture from across the diaspora.
