Join us for The Get Down's first-ever 360 "in the round" show with Random Rab & Lapa! This uniquely intimate experience will feature 4 sets of music. Random Rab kicks off the night with a live ambient set, followed by solo sets from both Lapa & Random Rab, and culminating in an improv duo set ft. both Random Rab & Lapa. Random Rab is a Colorado-based artist that has been pushing the boundaries of electronic music for over two decades, captivating audiences around the world with his unique soundscapes and live performances. In the late 90s, Rab moved to San Francisco and became heavily involved in the thriving underground music scene. He began experimenting with cutting edge sounds and technologies, incorporating exotic live instruments and vocals into his productions. This fusion of organic and electronic elements became a hallmark of Rab’s sound. In 2001, Rab released his debut solo album, Epicycle, which garnered critical acclaim and established him as a rising star in the electronic music world. He went on to release over a dozen more albums, including Visurreal, Release, Arose, Awoke, Anew,  The Elucidation of Sorrow, Formless Edge and most recently, On Magnificence. He has also been featured in films and special projects for National Geographic, Adobe, Google, Red Bull, Teton Gravity Research, Obscura Digital and other international clients. Several of his albums debuted in the iTunes top 5 Electronic charts and he had several #1 hits on college radio stations across the country. Rab’s live performances are an immersive experience, combining intricate visuals, custom analogue lighting effects and hypnotic beats to create a truly transformative and uplifting atmosphere. He has performed at festivals around the world, including Lightning in a Bottle, Shambhala, Boom, Ozora, Coachella, Envision Festival, Lucidity, Sonic Bloom, Gem & Jam and countless more. It would be hard to discuss Random Rab’s career without highlighting 25 consecutive years performing Sunday Sunrise at Burning Man. Random Rab was highlighted as the main stage performer during the eclipse for 3 eclipse festivals including Eclipse 2012 Australia,  and Symbiosis Eclipse both in Nevada and Oregon. Rab was also a headliner for the legendary Great Convergence festival at the Great Pyramids of Giza, Egypt where he also performed in Cairo. Random Rab continues to push the boundaries of electronic and acoustic music, experimenting with new sounds, new collaborators, and distinct visions for the future of sound. With his unwavering commitment to his art, Random Rab continues to be a true pioneer in the world of electronic music. New album “The Geometry of Coincidence” is slated for release in early 2026. Lapa is a west coast producer, performer and multi-instrumentalist, and is currently based out of Portland, Oregon. Being originally from Russia and having studied classical violin for most of his life, Lapa’s music bridges styles, rhythms and melodies from around the world in a tasteful and eloquent way. His beats draw inspiration anywhere from classic trip-hop to groovy house, supported by a sonic blanket of juicy bass and heart-felt violin melodies.
