Known for his dynamic performances and compositions, 8ULENTINA’s projects are characterized by his use of sound design, percussive intensity, storytelling and theatricality. Drawing from his SWANA background, he engages with regional folk traditions and performance techniques such as improvisation and collaboration through the reimagining of ensemble performances. 8ULENTINA’s recent album SURPASSING DISASTER was the first release on his project SILLAGE, a collaborative event series and record label focused on experimentation, improvisation and alternative archival sonic practices.
