**CJ Brinson & Family live at Eddie's Attic!** Christopher Brinson Jr., known as CJ, is an American drummer, music producer, artist, and founder of S.M.I.L.E. Clothing. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, his sound is rooted in gospel and shaped by a fearless, genre blending spirit. CJ leads CJ Brinson & Family, an Atlanta-based improvisational collective formed with his first cousins, Preston and Brandon Stephens. What began as childhood jam sessions evolved into a powerful, family-driven force, blending raw energy with deep emotional resonance to create performances that feel both familiar and otherworldly. Now, CJ Brinson & Family released their debut album, Constellation, in February 2026, featuring collaborations with Grammy-winning saxophonist Kebbi Williams and French jazz innovator Raphaël Imbert—a meeting of legacy, artistry, and boundless improvisation.
